The other day I thought to myself, I wonder how they met? When this showed up, I said they must’ve heard me. Very cute indeed! When I met my husband, I told my mother, when she met him, she said what about him. My response was 'Not if he was the last man on earth'. He was 53 and I was 42. I had never married before. It’s been 24 years since we married and now we’re growing old together. He’s 80 and I will be 70 in September.

Great question! On the ride home from the video shoot she surprised me by recognizing that I sang a harmony along to a song on the radio.. to this point I had zero clue that Kare had any sort of musical understanding let alone talent.. shortly after she showed me how it’s really done by singing a perfect harmony 😂 a stark contrast to my pitchy attempt 😅

I love this story. It’s so relatable because I’ve been in similar situations with guys in bands. I eventually got jaded with them because I always felt like I was second to music, which I absolutely understand because the thing that attracted me to them was their love of music, as I felt the same way. But that actually ended up being a hindrance to a real connection in a sense. It wasn’t until I found someone who loved music, but it wasn’t the only thing they loved, was I able to let down those walls I built up for musicians in general. Glad to hear a down-to-earth love story.

I first saw Kare on a RU-vid video singing "Lightening Bolt " with her sister and Sarah Blackwood. A few years later, I saw one of The Pior Family short videos, and I recognized her. It featured Kare and Frankie, and I loved it. From time to time, I would check their channel, and subscribed. I was able to do a little research based on info I gleaned from watching them. It was fairly easy because Swav is not a very common name. I was so happy to see that they are good friends with Gianni Nacassio and Sarah Blackwood because I'm a big fan of Walk Off The Earth. I'm an 84 year-old New Yorker who has been living in The Philippines for the past 13 years. I just want to say that you guys have the nicest family I've ever seen. You constantly amaze me. You are all that's good about mankind, and I wish all of you the best of everything. You're amazing. Between you guys and Ben and Zara from Australia I have hope for the human race. I love you all.
His band is IllScarlet. As for Ben and Zara, their channel is completely different from The Pior Family, but you can see the love and closeness of them. Like The Piors, the whole family is involved, although Zara's mom mostly stays in the background. She does the filming. The little brother has been getting a little bit involved lately. Anyway, the love that they feel for each other is palpable, like the Piors. It's heartwarming.

Came for Stevie and Frankie but, I stayed for you guys! Just wanted y’all to know your entire family are such sweet and grounded, genuine folk I wish there were more like yall on this platform. While everyone else keeps switching lanes to keep up with the traffic of trends you all just seem to be all together in your own lane and I have to remind myself that’s all I need to do is follow what makes me and my family happy nothing much else matters. Thank you for sharing your awesome "Love Story". What's funny is my Husband and I have a similar story and it thought it was cool when Kare said, that the night you guys first met, everything was "easy" and that is the way I felt about my husband and I have always said that subconsciously I knew he was going to be my husband one day and I think it was because of that "easiness". It just proves to me that when it is the right person everything just falls into place. We have 2 Sons who are in their 20's who have asked me questions like "How do you know Mom when it's actually Love", and I always tell them to go listen to Sammy Hagar's song "When it's Love", that song explains it perfectly "it's just something you feel together" and that is so true and everything just falls together so easily, and you feel almost like you have known that person forever. Anyways, 2 kids later, and you are still together, I love your videos, your girls are the cutest and smartest little beings and Congratulations on being a "match, made in Heaven".

As lovely this story is, I find it comforting the fact that its very human. Very real. Nothing too perfect or magical (as I have always pictured in my head that no way Franki and Stevie’s parents have met in any way other than a fairytale!). I’m happy that you shared your story.
