I enjoyed watching this, particularly since you showed some of the "after" stuff which tends to be neglected. I have yet to activate, but I'm building both my "go bag" and my knowledge of POTA both on and off the air. I wish I could have interested my wife in hamming when I was married. All she did with it was name one of the cats CQ since she said that's all I ever said on the radio on the kitchen table while she was cooking ;) Good luck to you both de KA8VLW, Ken, Michigan

Great video showing the activation from beginning to end. 48:00 When you upload to the POTA site it will use a State, County, Grid Square for your location based on what it has in the database for the park you said you were in. When you import the ADIF file into QRZ it will probably create the QSO records using the location data you have as your home station. This can result in differences when you travel out of county, state, and grid square for people who care about awards on QRZ and LoTW. The fix is to get location data into some fields in the ADIF file but currently I think HAMRs doesn't give you a way to edit them. FYI. 73 Ed W4POT
