All these fancy gadgets are cute and all, but I grew up doing it old school. Throw all of your gear in the back of a 3/4 ton truck and just go. Food, water, cooler, wood, tent, no problem. These fancy boys and the “overlanding” thing has gotten out of hand 😆

Regarding fuel, I'd recommend fitting an auxiliary fuel tank underneath the truck in the same place as the stock spare tire goes. Remove that and you can fit a large tank. We did that and along with a 2" body lift it enabled us to have close to 70 gallons of fuel. All underneath the truckbed in a self-contained system. Useful when snow wheeling in a 44" modified Tacoma in Iceland.

Better to be over prepared from a survival standpoint than not. Especially going off grid and into the wilderness. Not going on the freeway where they can stop at the next gas station to restock and refuel. Only thing they are missing is a gun/rifle to protect themselves from bears/cougars/wolves and other animals. Or hunt for food.
@ZombieChingon

I agree. Theres a lot of overlanders who you can tell have never done any actual camping or backpacking. Its obvious they've only ever done glamping. Backpackers know how to distill gear down to the actual essentials to carry less weight. Also... that wasn't coffee.

Hey, mate, If Toyota starts selling Tacoma in Korea, and they come in all varieties, I want you guys to set up Tacoma Beast dealerships in Seoul, Busan, Gwangju, Daejeon, etc. I'll be an ambassador for your business, I'm so inspired and motivated by a lot of the videos you guys are showing, Korea is still a small market for tuning and the government doesn't give out many permits, but who knows, it has the potential to rebound into a huge market in the future. Awesome bro! Your rig and thought process is solid. I would say definitely yes to camp shower it is a huge game changer. I have one thats basically a mini hot water heater using propane. Theyre pretty cheap and like i said HUGE game changer! Other than make sure you have enough water and fuel. Maybe plot out see of there are any available watwr sources to refill or fill up at. Water is added weight 8lbs per gallon!

People hate because they don't understand about the necessities when boon docking for days. Solar, inverter, recovery gear and a awning come to mind. I have a sinular setup in my F250, I can average 12 city, 17 highway and have the extra space we all desperately need. Are all your buds in the roof top tent? Nice setup brother.

Been seeing several videos with fire extinguishers in hard to get to (or takes long to get to) places. I'd recommend mounting that extinguisher somewhere inside the bed that is a little quicker and easier to get to. Also any medical supplies. All the other stuff you store (tools, recovery, etc) are not time critical items usually.
