I just Love this couple. There's nothing Josie and Charlie can't do as a team.....you compliment each other so well ...just always so lovely to watch!❤ Love from Tampa
I was just thinking the same. Something so beautiful and magical about Josie and Charlie. I think of them a the Prince and Princess of the Cotswold’s and my favorite couple💕
I love how you and Charlie have renovated your Property without making it too modern or striping away it's natural History and you both have respected this 🥰
I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your very good friend Jack and I think Charlie mentioned her passing in a very respectful and thoughtful way. Sending my condolences to Jack’s family and her many friends and neighbours, thinking of you all. Florals per your request Josie 🌷🌺🌻🌼🌸
The way you and Charlie talk about what’s best for your future children makes me tear up. You’re such good people, and I love your home and garden style. Thank you for taking the time to have this chat with us! Lots of love from Washington, DC
I love the fact that such a young couple decided to put on their shoulders a huge responsibility, which many would avoid. Good luck and happiness to your family.
Charlie is such a sweet man, Josie. Those moments he finds special are just that - really special and show what a lovely way he views life. Lovely to listen to. Thanks for sharing - it is a privilege to get these glimpses of you both. x PS - yes to the Pub -
this was probably the best video you've EVER filmed. Josie you were wonderful, I loved the answers Charlie gave and it was wonderful finding out more about the house and the Cotswolds. You have created an extraordinary life for yourself, this was emotional
There are times when I feel a house is "wasted " on someone, meaning they don't treasure it like they should, appreciate it as much as they could or put as much thought into it as they ought to....yet Josie and Charlie truly value all that they have, especially their HOME, for they have made a house just that. You are always stewards of a property, and view it as a privilege as well as a task - they have approached both wonderfully. For such a young couple they are wise beyond their years. I truly hope it will be their FOREVER home & that they enjoy all those years in good health and in abundance=of all positive things.
Absolutely love Josie and Charlie's enthusiasm for where they live and how they live their lives together. Hoping this is your forever family home. Thank you for yet another uplifting vlog.
Absolutely LOVELY guys. Watched you pre Cotswolds and through the process during Covid (Nurse here! Scary days!) Watched your wedding sobbing and knowing you lost an irreplaceable friend lately. What an impact she had on your lives. Thank you ALWAYS for being your true genuine selves and sharing your lives with us. My husband works in the film/TV industry and I always tell him how much I enjoy watching your real lives. Always learning and living for those little moments, because those are the ones that count! You both know that!!!!
Thank you Josie and Charlie for your generosity and passion, opening up your beautiful home to us. I can never get enough of your ‘florals’ and I adore the Cotswolds. If I lived in the UK I’d definitely live there too. Your beautiful friend Jack will be always in your heart and garden in spirit amongst the beautiful flowers. Sending much love your way 💕
Josie, I absolutely loved this chat with you and Charlie, tbh, my favorite part of any vlog is when you and he are chatting or doing something. Sometimes I rewatch old vlogs and skip to those parts, they just make me feel good :) I also wanted to say, my heart went out to you during the part where he mentioned your gardener, looking at you, it was clear how emotional you became and how much you cared about her and how sad you were about her passing. Her memory stays alive in so many areas, your beautiful garden being one of them 💚
FLORAL! one of the BEST videos so far. Loved hearing from you both. You're both so naturally chatty and well-spoken. A cotswold podcast would be amazing.
Charlie, your love of history, and your sensitivity to the house, shine through! You are realistic enough to preface your good fortune, with the caveat "if things change". Your desire to empower others to follow their dreams, is inspiring! love sue x
Another comment from me. I agree that although covid was an awful time with the impact on the wider world and how many people sadly lost their lives and livelihoods, for me I had my only son in June 2020 and remember working from home but also being able to sit in the garden and enjoy the glorious weather. We also really came together as a community. My husband also worked from home that entire year as universities moved all courses online and so he developed a really strong bond with our son as he didn’t go back out to work after two weeks of paternity leave. We had moved into our house in 2019 so we were properly settled in and our home and garden really became our sanctuary. So I get what Charlie is saying.
I’ve had three people in my life pass away in the past I months, so I can understand the grief here. So sorry for your loss in your friend. Sending so much love and comfort to you ❤❤
I’m 58 & my husband and I did a partial renovation to our kitchen - granite countertops and new appliances when we moved in our house with young children and just did a full kitchen renovation last year. So glad we waited because tastes change and I love having my new kitchen now.
Wow that was a very rude comment, as a very Happy viewer of their videos what I would like to say to you is “Then turn it off”! I am from the USA and I live vicariously through their videos showing all of us foreigners what we are missing and all the beautiful countryside and little villages that England has to offer. They are very proud of the Cotswolds since moving there and discovering all that it has to offer, they just want to share it with the world! I for one, since watching their videos, I really want to travel abroad and visit England and specifically the Cotswolds! Thank you Josie and Charlie for sharing your Wonderful life with us.
i’m not gonna lie but i enjoyed watching you guys answering all those questions ,the love oozing out of you guys it’s simply inspiring, continue enjoying your home! don’t take anything for granted!
Very nice listening about the good and beautiful of your living in the Costwolds! I would have love to listen to you more Josie, most questions were answered by Charlie an did not let you space for answering. Blessings to you!
Oh I’m so sorry to hear about Jack. My heartfelt condolences xxx Charlie, I know you are busy , but you need to do a podcast. I love your way of explaining and discussing things x Love to you both, lala and the boys xxxx
What a wonderful Vlog! I loved the chat and the history! I really discovered you just before Lockdown. When asked about your favourite time besides your wedding, I immediately thought of Lockdown. You really got me through that period. The excitement and exuberance you both had, your homeware hauls-it was like we all just moved with you to your beautiful home in the country. Thank you.
I've just come across your channel and I must say, wow. You are not only a beautiful couple, but the aesthetics of this channel is superb. I pray forever prosperity for you both.
Honestly I could listen Charlie for hours, so much knowledge and well spoken proud British gentleman he is 🙌🏼😊which is amazing for me to watch and listen and Josie is like a real life beautiful princess, love you both xx
Looking forward to the next Q&A! Always a pleasure to hear Charlie speak about things so eloquently. Also sorry for your loss, you always spoke so fondly of Jack x
Dear Josie and Charlie , I would appreciate a home tour video❤you did it earlier, but fresh video will be a supeeeer cool idea! How time flies ! I found your channel in 2019, went through covid together, what a memories…..you are my inspiration ❤❤❤
Dearest Josie and Charlie, I wanted to tell you and Lala how very sorry I was and am to hear about your dear friend and garding specialist , Jack, who passed away recently. There is nothing that can prepare us for such a shock, or for all the heartbreak and desolation we feel as a result. You created much beauty together, and her spirit and memory will live on through the magnificent garden area she was so instrumental in creating. Sending you tenderness during this difficult time. 💙💙💙💙
You are two doing fantastic job for yourself, but also to keep the material side of the culture. It is amasing and wishing you to reach all your goals.
Wawzerz!! I hope this message finds you Josie, you looked absolutely STUNNING in the intro... the hair, make up and beautiful poloneck is perfection 🥰 I don't know how you do it, but you manage to put out authentic vids every time... the work that goes into everything collectively is outstanding and highly professional. The fly overs of your home is nothing short of spectacular. Your home is dream goals. I adore Charlie, I never tire of him talking because he is passionate and wants to inform people, I also love his honesty From a selfish point of view, I would love to see a segment of Charlie and his favourite recipes, aswelll as healthy eating as he seems well informed. Much love to you both ❤XX
Yeah more Charlie segments and Josie And Charlie segments when they teach whatever useful they've learned❤Their delivery is always so professional and so enjoyable
Josie, Charlie ... I love how down to earth you guys are. Thoroughly enjoyed watching your Q&A and hearing your opinions which I did find quite objective. Also, might I add, I live in Banbury and really enjoy the picture of the area you are portraying and also seeing your recommendations of local farm shops, villages, markets and all the good stuff this area has to offer. Really enjoy watching your videos lately and the more "real talk" side of content. Sending lots of love.
I moved last year to another AONB after living in the Cotswolds for 8 years. The Cotswolds is indeed beautiful and I’d recommend for people to look at the smaller villages. I have to say all of the Cotswolds towns Burford, Stow, Bourton, Chippy, Moreton etc are becoming so overrun with tourists that it doesn’t make for the same special experience. The reality is trying to pop into town to do your errands as a resident becomes a battle of nowhere to park and tourists everywhere. They’re also building new build properties in every available space - I returned recently to visit friends and couldn’t believe the amount of new builds that have gone up in Stow, around bourton etc. The Cotswolds have really been put on the map in the past few years especially with Instagrammers etc which is great, but unfortunately it can spoil it too. Now I’m in another AONB that isn’t so touristy I absolutely love visiting the Cotswolds without living there, and adore being surrounded by so much countryside with minimal houses and tourists around. It’s so quiet and peaceful.
I grew up in North Wales, just outside of an AONB, in a village that basically went from a handful of houses (and two Welsh chapels) to 2000 inhabitants in the 70s and 80s, luckily not much has been built since, despite it being a popular village. There are, amongst the "new" builds, listed buildings, so the village has retained character, especially around the old centre. We were lucky that we weren't in a tourist area, so traffic and visitors weren't too bad, but there were definitely places we stayed away from in the summer. Later, I lived close to the North Wales coast and a Friday evening the A55 (main dual carriageway for the coast) was busy with tourists travelling west, and Sunday evening the exodus was towards the east. Now I live in Denmark, on the edge of a tourist area (and an AONB), there are roads we stay away from on a Saturday in summer, as the traffic is horrendous (it actually starts at Easter), but as Saturday is summer house change over day, there are things we keep for Saturdays as the tourists are busy travelling to and fro! I'd definitely view where the tourist areas are and stay away from the busiest places in terms of looking for somewhere to live.
Wonderful q&a and so brilliant to hear about how you manage the house and tips on properties in the Cotswolds. Also so so sorry to hear about your gardener 😔💔 can see how heartbroken you are and Josie trying to keep it together when it was mentioned 🫶🏻 sending so much love to you all ❤️🩹
You are such a wonderful couple, sincere, thoughtful and grateful,I wish you all the happiness and blessings life can give you as you both work so hard and are a team, it will hold you accountable in the future and you will be proud of yourselves ❤❤❤
Floral. So happy to hear how much help you have. As viewers we can feel like we are aren’t getting our years in shape quickly enough on our own. I feel better knowing it really isn’t possible without some help, especially in areas where a little more expertise is needed beyond our own. So thank you for that honesty.
I am not surprised you fell in love with your house .I saw the sale brochure and I fell in love with it to ! Living in the countryside is priceless 👌 😊
I first discovered you on Instagram just before Covid. I then was able to watch daily when you moved and what you were doing. Then caught up on the previous vlogs - as had loads of time! Love watching what you’re doing and the Q&A is really interesting. Floral!
You both provide so much inspiration. I remember those new home/covid day vlogs that offered us all an 'escape' and inspired my daughter and I to become novice gardeners. Well, we are still gardening today and even got rid of our typical American wood 'deck' and in it's place is a beautiful basketweave brick patio. (My husband did the whole project himself...I did the planning.) Thank you for the ongoing inspiration along with focus on positive lifestyle. Best wishes! And...FLORAL! 🌷🌷🌷
It was so lovely to meet you all at the garden tour 😊 This was a great Q&A, and after having finally visited the Cotswolds I can see why you two fell in love with the area!
Oh I loved this🤍 Sometimes people find sit down Q&As a bit boring but you were so present and honest with us, it could have gone on hours for me. So interesting! I loved the way you reacted/spoke about Jack too. You could really see how much she meant to you and I am so glad you have so many happy memories to remember her by despite this being a tough time. Much love to you both 🤍🤍
Thoroughly enjoyed this. You compliment each other so well and I had never heard the story of how you came to find this house. Thank you both for sharing this. More Charlie on the vlogs too please, he is so passionate and interesting to listen to.
Josie and Charlie I’m so sorry for the loss of your friend jack i remember glimpses of her in your videos but you will always have beautiful memories of her every time you walk in you garden ❤
I found Josie and Charlie during COVID, right when they moved into their new home. Watching them was my escape during lockdown and I’ve been watching ever since. I love seeing what they have done to the house and especially their gardens! I’m so in love with how beautiful their gardens are!!! I live in Florida and it too hot here to grow all the flowers Josie does. You guys have done a beautiful job, and I can’t wait to see what else you do with your home!
Fabulous content and such a wonderful Q&A. Charlie has a wonderful knowledge of advice and is a great inspiration to everyone. Thank you for sharing ❤ Floral ❤️
Love the chit chat about the house and moving and the cotswolds!!! So so informative yet incredibly interesting at the same time. Would enjoy you and Charlie talking through some more questions again, oh, and would love to see the floral gardens if that’s ever an opportunity!! 🌸 being in Canada makes it hard to see a lot of those types of displays
Thank you so much for your Q&A together Josie and Charlie. It makes me want to go back and watch Josie’s vlog when she shared the first night in the house after the move from London x
I had a warm feeling watching this full of love, happiness & sharing your life with us.The Q&A was so interesting & it's wonderful you found your dream home in the Cotswolds countryside. Everything happens for a reason. You & Charlie have found the reason. This time of year.Floral is all around. Have a lovely week to you both.❤
How lovely to build one's house and watch it develop into a home. We started 28 years ago and we're still going on and my husband and I still enjoy the process. It is hard work, true, there are ups and downs but looking back, you get satisfied with what you did, enjoy the present, and be motivated for the future. There is no hurry - enjoy the moment - you are a team, support each other and take care. I send you a 'floral' hug 🌻💮🥀
Hello Josie, and, of course, Chatty Charlie! Thank you for another beautiful vlog around the Cotswolds. You guys are so inspiring, we have a delivery of about a dozen new varieties of TULIPS coming to be planted this fall for next spring! Enjoyed your talk about how old homes, and how you’re never “done”. (We live in an old schoolhouse) we would love to see the FLORAL gardens that Lady Bamford has created. Hope you have a great night.
The inspiration you receive from Carol's garden is what I get from yours! Except I do love the veg that I grow😉 Looking forward to a tour of the new pond plantings and seedlings this summer! Also, I'm so sorry for your loss of Jak. I know she was one of your first friends in your village that you spoke of on your channel. I know she will be missed. What wonderful memories you have, and im sure those memories will bring you peace and a smile as you work in the garden🕊️
I'm so pleased for you and Charlie, you both work very hard and you deserve the life you have found in the Cotswolds, honestly, it couldn't have happened to a nicer couple. And the fact your Mum gets to enjoy this lovely life with you too, right on her doorstep. Well, I definitely think this was meant to be. Your Dad would be proud of you Josie and happy for all three of you, I'm sure.xx 🌸🌷🌾
Floral! Josie , you and Charlie are a joyous inspiration, even for this 76 year old follower! You are so right to embrace the everyday moments and the process of creating your forever home. And loving your precious doggies…how lucky they are to have you. Thanks for sharing your heart and your home. With 💕 from my own forever home and garden in the Hudson River Valley in New York, USA.
Josie and Charlie your vlogs are always so stunning!.. and, of course, so are you both! Enchanting to watch it all. Thank you for sharing with us all.❤🪴🪻🥀💐🌷🌺🌹❤
Really really love this video Josie and Charlie. I love hearing you speak about your home and building a beautiful life together. It makes me so excited to do the same in my life. My fiancé and I are tying the knot this summer and I’ve been rewatching your wedding vlogs 🥰 keep on with what you’re doing ❤️❤️
Why is this making me mist up!? I knew you’d ( Josie ) would mention Christmas as a special memory of the house!! With a house like yours? It’s going to make sooo many special memories!! 💕 loved this!
We are visiting The Cotswolds again for probably the 10th time in August thanks for all the pub recommendations it’s always a struggle to find somewhere that isn’t packed out xx
I know what you mean about how you came to move from London. I did the same in 2021. I had lived in my previous house for 38 years and had no thought of moving until I saw the bungalow I am now living in. I had admired it for ages then I saw it for sale. I put my house on the market and moved in a few months later. Like you I have made changes especially to the garden which I love.
I agree with Josie that Christmas in your house is truly special. I discovered your channel on day one of Vlogmas 2020 and I’ve been watching ever since.
