I love you showing how someone can have a extravagant wedding. But still save money by not getting unnecessary or unimportant things! If you want a big wedding but don’t want big debt. These are the things one needs to know!
@@codename495 Right! My husband and I eloped after 17 years in a committed relationship with each other. Because we wanted to make our bond permanent, and express our love for each other. But we weren’t going to go into debt over it! His family is Italian, mine is Scottish and Irish. If we did it how they wanted. We’re talking 300+ people!!! No thank you! Lol
Random but cake related. I remember watching an episode of cake boss were someone asked for a naked cake and I think it was buddy or Mauro said “I have to make the cake naked” 😂😂😂.
I found a local bakery that doesn’t upcharge on wedding cakes. I’m allergic to egg and my husband’s family has several people with celiacs and she made us gluten free egg free cakes (literally couldn’t even tell it was crazy) and we had 2 2-tiered cakes, served 75-80, and the cakes cost us $50 total.
Please do more!! I’m saving these all. My fiancé who was fixing a computer and not paying attention exclaimed “80 people?! That’s a helluva deal” and we both agreed we are doing that for our wedding loll
It's always good when you can find some things that you don't care about so you can spend less on those things and a little extra on the things that you do! :)
I love this! A florist quoted us $350 PER TABLE CENTERPIECE. we had 15 tables so we just put bridesmaids bouquets on the tables I added in a few small arrangements we made ourselves
Great ideas. Frequently the wedding is in a different venue so separate chairs could be tough. But having the two in the same place is helpful. Never thought of that.
I didn't realize we would even get bouquets in my friend's wedding. They were really small, but seriously so delightful and delicate! I still have mine, dried and hanging up, so beautiful! They would have made beautiful centerpieces tho~
when i had my first kid there were several occasions when i wanted really nice cakes.. baby showers, 1st bday etc., after trying multiple cake makers and paying way too much money im for cakes that either didn’t look like they should or looked great but tasted like crap…. i’ve bought all of our cakes from Publix ever since lol… they look at least decent but always taste great!
Around here these are all pretty normal things to do... Some of the weddings I've been to have been at least decently luxurious as well- the only one we haven't tried is using a Publix since I don't think that brand exist here, but insert Canadian brand, and people use that all time! I even helped one friend hunt-down Walmart cupcakes, that no one had any idea was from Walmart... Or didn't care. 😁
Got married in our street clothes at the courthouse. Then went for Tacos and called and told family we were married. Total cost $60. $25 for the license and $35 for lunch. Been happily married for the decade since. Big weddings are a huge waste of money.
Crazy that someone would pay 350 for cakes! And get flowers for EVERY brides maid, not knly.the bride. Even use centerpieces! No wonder Americans are in debt.
Wedding cakes are usually MUCH better quality than say birthday cake and take longer to make (meaning you're paying more for quality, time, labor, and design) and it fed 80 people, so it was about $2/slice which isn't that bad. Feel free to get something cheaper for your wedding if it's too much for you. Personally, my cake or desserts or whatever I have for my wedding I'm willing to splurge a bit on. I want them to be memorable for me and to really enjoy myself, but you can choose whatever you do or don't want to do!
It’s actually pretty cheap for the amount of cake (3 tiers). You don’t know just how much time and effort goes into baking and decorating them as well.
