I've been struggling with motivation, inspiration and the general feeling of defeat with the lack of optimism and positive attitude in my film circle. Thank you for helping me feel excited and inspired again.
omg this is one of the best BTS break down videos ive ever seen. im also film director and fx3 & fx30 shooter. this was a perfect blueprint not only how to shoot a music video but how to do it on a tight budget with proper planning and execution. i will definitely be using this as a platform to shoot going forward and yes please continue making these bts breakdown videos they are amazing
Great video Matt!! I discovered the song from the MV a while back and this landed on my feed just now. Thank you for the BTS 🙌 very inspiring P.S: What's the song you played in the outro? Really good stuff!
7:36 was shot next to Leslie TTC station 1 parking lot south, that's pretty cool for me because I've known that area for a while. Unless I'm wrong but by the hospital in the back I think its there
could you tell us a bit about the XE-4? i used to shoot fuji & i'm looking for a small docu cam again, and curious to hear why you went for the E4 instead of T or Pro series :)
Hi bro, im from Toronto as well a filmmaker and currently studying as a interactive media design student at Seneca and im looking for a internship/coop that I can work with as a DOP, assist camera man or directing, editing, gaffer.... so on... as a requirement for me to graduate... I wish theres a spot for internship in your production house! I really love your style and cinematography!!
Yooooo this is tight! I know Tyrique and a lot of these locations, what you did with both of them are amazing. About to watch the video now, great job 👏🏾
not gonna lie, i recently moved to georgia and i have an interest in cinematography, and to see/hear how pre production is vital to these type of shoots is amazing, ive learned so much in this one video...
Thanks for telling me theres such a thing called the sun seeker apps. I would usually take pictures of various spots throughout my adventures whether its by car or bike for future shoots (if its good later on). And so months would pass by and id forget the earth tilts and i cant get the photo again. But im so glad you mentioned theres an app for this, 🙏
Thanks a lot for the amount of information you've provided here. Will definetly make some use of it. What comes to the music video tho, I have to be honest. I felt like the vibe of the music didn't really match the video too well. It was beautifully done which i won't take away from you. Bless! 🙏🏽
so fun how I'm an Italian filmmaker just gradueted from cinema school and I found this banger of a song months ago through intagram ad, and now while I'm looking for some inspiration for my works I find this video, and then as Toronto funhouse starts I'm like what the fuck. Great job guys keep pushing
hahah it really is. it’s good for doing small tasks. I recommend checking out Cine Daillies video on using an iPad for workflow, he inspired me actually!
Amazin video, very well layed out! One cuestion, what is the name of the app that was mentioned for emulating the camera and lens they wanted to use? Seems super helpful
Thanks for showing the back of these scenes. I"'m aiming to be a cinematographer and I have been watching lots of back-of-the-scenes this video was so easy to understand and you explained it very simple. Thank you.
i have a few videos on my channel similar to this one and its always interesting to see other peoples perspective on set and how they go about things. great video!
That looked like fun. When you’re on a shoot for 6 months that’s when you might have a sick day, if you don’t want to work again. It’s also very sad when it all finishes and your new best friends go away. I always cry. Good luck. X
hello matt! the music video was amazing man! i saw you are using macbook air, does it work well for davinci resolve? like editing, color grading, something... and i wonder the spec of your macbook too! (such as ram, ssd)
