My 2022 Tundra Crewmax TRD Off-Road has just over 32,000 miles on it. I put these KO2 tires on it when it was new, I thought I would do a follow up review on the tires in deep snow. Many people have also asked, does the Crawl Control work well in the snow. Let's find out.

Just stumbled across your channel. Enjoyed the video. I have run BF.Goodrich KO2s for many many years. I have Zero complaints about them. Best All Round tire there is in MHO.

In 4Hi, turn OFF "traction control" and shift into "Manual" 2nd, or 3rd gear. @ 10-25 mph or 4th gear@ 25-35mph You'll have a blast!

The only thing that does really good on ice is a dedicated snow tire like a blizzak.

Love blizzaks. Hakkapeliita LT3 has been a great tire for me……keep them on for 4 months a year in Upstate NY (Adirondack Mtns) and I would NEVER not run dedicated snows! It’s about stopping……not just about not getting stuck!

Thanks for the review! I just picked up a 24 Tundra TRD and thinking about going with the same tire but either in a 285/65/20 or 295/65/20. Did you have to recalibrate your safety sense with adding the taller tire and RC leveling kit?

I haven’t recalibrated anything, and everything seems to work fine.

When it comes time will you be purchasing KO2s again, or would you consider alternatives of equal standing in the all-terrains such as the Falken Wildpeak?

That’s a great question, and one that I’ve thought quite a bit about. I like the K02’s for everything except for the ride. Because they are a heavy duty tire, you feel every bump in the road. Running down the highway, they’re smooth and quiet l, and I think the wear has been exceptional. I’ve heard that the Falken Wildpeak are a little heavier than the KO2’s, so I’m concerned they may reduce the mileage a little

@@Rodneysnwridesandreviews Those are good concerns, but most of that fuel economy will come into which load rating the tire is. As a Canadian who has to deal with ice, snow, and the extreme cold for about 8 months a year I ended up buying a set of wildpeaks, and so far they are great. My biggest concern was getting a tire that could still function well and not be rock solid when the weather turns to -40 though.

@@matthewhalipchak5914 that’s definitely something to take in to consideration. Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated.

Hi Rodney, I have Tundra Limited TRD Off Road with the stock Falken 265 60/20 tires. I want to get larger tires. I am thinking about a 295 65/20 or 285. I am also going to have a lightweight camper on the back at times and I definitely need airbags. Do you think I should get a 2 inch level kit in front? Do you think 295's with a camper are too big?
@Rodneysnwridesandreviews
@Rodneysnwridesandreviews 5 месяцев назад
Mine were 34” tires and they’re fine with the leveling kit, but if you went much larger than what I have currently, I’d recommend an actual lift kit.

I lease my trucks, so I have to be careful what I do them, so that they’re factory when I turn them back in. I’ll have this one for another 3-4 months, and then I’m not sure if I’ll get another Tundra again, or maybe a 2024 Tacoma. I’d be interested to see what you had in mind. Thanks for reaching out.
