Real Wasabi is spicy. Most international and especially western "Wasabi" is actually just colored horseradish. @@inuyashalovergyal it's extremely difficult to grow and make properly. Which is why it's very rare, a delicacy and very expensive. Idk why American culture doesn't acknowledge that they're just eating green horseradish, but it's pretty well known in other countries that if you want real Wasabi you just gotta go to Japan/Korea

I think the “ma’am” thing depends where you grew up. Personally it makes me feel absolutely ancient but I know it’s being said respectfully so I don’t take offense to it 🤷‍♀️

"Mam" is often associated with being an older woman (at least where I live) and "Miss" is more youthful while still holding that respect, so I guess that might be why. Though both are signs of respect so whoever berated you clearly cares more about their pride than the intention behind your words. Lame
