Claire Brock is joined by new Labour Party leader Ivana Bacik to discuss where she will lead her party and if she would be open to a Sinn Féin coalition.
Ivana Bacik is confident that people will come back to Labour, after a drop in voters. She tells Claire there has been a surge in membership, especially in women recently which she encourages. She believes the public appreciate the need for a strong centre-left voice.
Claire asks where Ivana will align herself and her party in this shift in power.
Ivana tells Claire she believes in "positive politics," not fueled by the debates in the Dáil, but a more collaborative method of debate.
Claire asks Ivana if she is concerned she will not receive the rural voter's support or the young worker's vote.
Ivana does not believe there is a divide between rural and urban voters, citing the shift in Irish society showcased in the Appeal Campaign.
Claire asks if Labour would be open to working with Sinn Féin as it seems they share common goals.
Ivana says Labour would not be open to this as she wants to build the voice of Labour as a standalone party.
