It’s really hard to say. I think most SEC folks are giving way too much love to Texas. Ewers is good, not great. They lost their starting receivers, TE, and running back. They also lost the best part of their defense, their defensive tackles and middle linebacker. Our lines kicked their butts last year. So , I certainly don’t fear Texas. It’s the road games at Auburn, Ole Miss, Mizzou, and LSU that concern me. I would say we will be somewhere between 8-4 and 10-2. Jackson Arnold is a special talent. If given time, I think he can cause defenses a lot of problems. We’ve had 3 straight top 10 recruiting classses so our talent is comparable to almost all the teams in the SEC save Georgia and Bama.

Hahahaha okay man.. it’s definitely not the big 12.. the SEC was the biggest reason Lincoln left, if he was losing to Alabama it was LSU in the CFB

The SEC is just a few good teams and some also rans. No different than any other conference. Georgia, Alabama, and LSU are generally better than every one else in the nation but the rest of the conference is average at best. OU is going to have a tough time in the SEC but not like everyone is saying. The SEC mystique came from the fans of bad teams latching on to the coattails of a few good teams in the conference. Blaming their lack of success on such a "brutal" conference. Chanting "SEC" at a game always seemed pathetic to me. That being said. I'm excited that Oklahoma is a part of it. Since Nebraska left, the Big 12 hasn't been the same. It will be great to have new challenges and new opponents.

Mizzou is historically up and down. I'm glad that they're getting better. Football is better when Tennessee is good and Auburn has to get better. Love your channel.

@@Between_the_numbers Depends on their schedule. If they have a 2023-like schedule, I could again see 10 wins. If they have a schedule as tough as the one in 2024, they’ll likely have another 7-5 season.

@@Between_the_numbers yes to all. They play 4 top 10 teams and 2 more top 16. No line or qb. I don't see them fairing well. They have a history of winning in a conference that doesn't play defense

@Between_the_numbers I'm not one of those people I'm old enough to think about things....before acting like a fanatical overachiever, let's be real Texas isn't what it used to be (in a good way) if The horns don't make the naty it's because of a loss in the playoffs like this past year..it will not be because of mixed vegetables and his laters...but I am smart enough to not speak about "how great Texas is" its a turning point for the horns and it has to grow from there but it does feel different..love what you do my man !

Texas has always had amazing talent though, and still prior to OU rebuilding couldn't win a B12 conf. in 15 years. And since 2000 is 8 of 23 in their rivalry ... And even Sark has only had one 10+ win season in the B12. I just don't see Texas elevating at the same pace OU does. BV, with new staff on both sides of the ball and %88 percent roster turnover got a double digit win in just his second year, not to mention beat a highly touted Texas team, that was supposedly one of the Texas best teams we have seen in modern era. And yet people want to place Texas a teir above OU is crazy. Much less talk about Texas taking over the SEC. They couldn't even run the B12 as long as big brother is whole. 🤘⬇ BOOMER

I agree. Tx. is finally making the most of their talent. I give Sark credit for that. However, y’all lost a lot of defensive talent, namely Sweat and your other DT. Those two are going to be hard to replace! Even with them, you still couldn’t best OU in the trenches. All I know is, Tx. has high expectations placed on them. I’d be surprised if they performed better than the 23 team did, even with that soft schedule. I don’t see Tx. beating Georgia, or OU, and Michigan is a shell of its NC team. Not much else on your schedule to hang a hat on, iirc.
