Is worth mentioning that those technique are more effective at night. If you want infiltrate a place during the day a disguise is what a shinobi would use
Having watched this video and then engaged in a course of intense and gruelling practice, I have now mastered the ancient ninja art of standing in a corridor. I am now studying how to run away in a corridor.
As a kid I was obsessed with these training techniques and they work incredibly well. Once I evaded detection from a police spotlight by simply laying flat against a low bush and keeping my elbows tucked around my head. There was a shooting earlier that week so many patrols came through in the early morning and made great situations for practice. Looking back, it was dumb to tempt fate like this.
When I was in early high school I was the same. I had a suit pieced together from a gi and whatever I felt would work. I would practice hiding around the house (not in the dark) and also in school (usually by climbing) and I found that it is actually very easy to avoid notice from people who are not actively looking for you. You can hide in plain sight if you just fill in gaps beside or between other (dark) objects. I once went unnoticed by pressing against the side of a dark cabinet to my left with a bright window on on my right (on the same wall). The brightness of the window actually made the pale shadow dark enough in contrast that it worked. Naturally I graduated from there to running all over town (suburbia) at night, around 12-3am. I never saw patrol cars roaming slowly so I assume no one ever called the police, so probably seldom if ever seen. The fact that 98% of people were asleep obviously helped. Interesting story: I was once out around 2am and had crept up beside a house from the back. I got behind a bush in the front and was looking for my next cover when the garage door came open right beside me. The light was on inside so I would have been easily noticed if someone looked toward the bush as they came out. I just pressed into the bush as well as possible when I heard the noise and held completely still. A person came out pulling a wagon, and it contained a couple of large black trash bags. They went around the bush and toward the back yard. I had no idea if they went to a point where I would be seen if I tried to run, or if anyone else was in the open garage, so I just stayed put. I was there for about 20 minutes it seemed. Eventually I heard them returning. The wagon was empty. They went around the bush, back in the garage and shut the door. I stayed put for about another 5 minutes and high-tailed it home. I have always wondered what that person could possibly have been doing like that at 2am. Creepy.
@@akiramenai4973 Excellent patience in staying hidden! You know you're doing it correctly, when the friends you're playing hide & seek with, just give up.
The true way of the Ninja is to live well, and the positive way of the law, and in past excellence, is the law, and to use the way of excellence against the law is wrongful ways of doing and is not OK...
@@JohnDoe-bw7bq These days the lines between Law and Ideology are becoming blurred. We are seeing the time when the true Way of the Ninja will be needed more than in a century.
From now on, i know its a ninja dressed in black croching down on the floor in my bedroom. Phew, i just thought it was a pile of strangers socks. Thank you ninja school.
Different principals, unless you're lurking in the shadows like a weirdo wearing all black, you're gonna stand out. In an urban environment you just try to not stand out at all and act normal
yeah but there are plenty of ninja techniques for that too, probably even more than the night techniques. heck, ninjas even used fake families and learned different accents like modern spies according to the bansenshukai@@davidp6913
Great video. Seems easy to spot the ninjas knowing that they are in a certain empty room in daylight with a camera pointing to their directions and a unidirectional micro being used. With the distractions and confusion in a real scenario, they would be really hard to find.
I always like learning about the reasoning behind certain techniques. Especially in this case, where the ninja try to take advantage of how humans work (e.g. we notice things that move, we're more likely to look in the direction we _think_ a threat is going).

@@franciscoantonioramirezgar3663 You never will, if you talk about it. I was hashashin in my previous life and I will tell you this. You do not have to travel to japan to become spy/killer. You can be that everywhere. Nothing restricts you from training, only you yourself. Stop talking and do this shit. So simple.
The best way is to be part of the scenery. During the day to be dressed as regular locals would be best, in unsuspecting poses and postures. Line of sight has to do with who's watching. So dressing as day laborers, merchants, and monks was common when in city settings to remain underneath suspicion. At night you dress like law enforcement or private security. Forest color fatigues were for millitary reconnassance missions and would stick out in a civil setting.
Imagine using these techniques on a southern American city where everything tend to be open, flat, well lit, not too many places to hide and there are cameras everywhere
@@trevortroopa968 Really ?? Seriously ?? I mean............ REALLY ??? WE ARE TALKING ABOUT NINJA Cmon mate... Have a little respect Be like a ninja and practice INVISIBILITY ok or if you prefer, be like Jesus christ and go away and don't come back
It's unfortunate that this video was published. If you know, you know, so I won't talk about it. What would be good to see is demonstrations of fighting techniques & avoidance of all gimmicks & tourist type showcasing. Are you able to do that?
apparently ninja's didn't wear black at night, because it actually stands out more than a neutral color like gray or brown, which better matches the scenery anyway
No matter what when they run, we will get to know because we can think of one side but people will be there in all 360 degree. sometimes some people will watch through windows. This technique will only work at night.
Most thieves case joints with dogs and even prefer goin into such places As owners rarely worry. There are ways to trick dogs. One is to the throw food at them , some dogs need longer time to befriend. I once lived in a compound with about half a dozen dogs. They all went quiet when the intruder came , he's been throwing em hotdogs for days . Except my lab which didn't fall for it. Train your dog to be more scrutinous
This moves are only good as the caster it's funny how they aren't teaching you how to ninja run. Ninjas took little steps like half a step quickly and it created light movements with their body weight. Remember ninjas move in silence 🔕
Lol. There is a ninja in this room can you guess where? Ok Japanese Dora that was not hard at all. I do think if he wanted to not be found it would have been harder.
I would agree with you there but the fundamental idea of that was to be used in the night. Also, it takes advantage of how peoples eyes more or less are attracted to fast moving objects, and the shape of a person. If you do a bit of research on camo, Some camo doesn't take advantage of background, but the disruption of the human shape. when he was in that position, he was in our lower field of view, but also hid all human features. If I wasn't told to look for him in that moment, I don't think I would have been able to spot him, as my focus would have been of something else. In short, This is used when you don't know there's a ninja.
