I’ll never get over Vince/WWE making The Fiend job to a 50 year old Goldberg. He was the most exciting part of the show at the time! One of the worst booking decisions ever!
Believe that, cant comprehend why they kept feeding younger talents to Goldberg. Sadly, he didnt even acknowledge it and said he should have been put over more and beat Kevin Owens and others few more times...
Vince leaving is the best thing that’s happened to the wwe tbh. From 2017 to his last days he was feeding us the worst product ever while killing talents like the wyatt family balor nakamura Bobby rhoode Ambrose and probably sm more im forgetting
Both parties have good arguments 1.) Bray should've beat taker 2.) Taker sort of needed the win because he lost to lesnar a year before that So I kinda agree with both of these points
@@TheArkham_Batman Brock just shouldn't have fought Taker the year before imo There's no way Taker should've won against Lesnar, but beating the streak didn't do much for him. While it would've done so much for Bray
@@MadRaiidenThat's kinda the thing about Brock defeating Taker. It looks right considering, how strong Brock was and how he was portrayed, but when you look at meta-level it didn't really make Brock next level intimidating and it hurt Taker's status so much that he chased a great enough Wrestlemania match for the rest of his career. So it was the bad decision with the benefit of hindsight. At the same time, I am sure Taker losing at all at Wrestlemania would have been met with ton of criticism either way,so I am not sure any other candidate would have been better. Bray looks like a right choice with hindsight, but considering, how his booking looked overall,I am sure people would have also been unhappy with him winning
@@GhostSound2 I've always been annoyed with people saying the streak should've never ended. It was set up to end eventually, and I feel like if it never ended people would've been disappointed and arguing it could've helped someone. Brock initially was a good choice, but given what's been going on with him now it feels like something they can't acknowledge anymore. My choices would've been either Bray or Roman, but only if it turns Roman heel and we get the tribal chief we eventually got, but sooner
@@JackalHavok1992 he’s correct because they were so transfixed on Roman reigns. He was all they gave a shit about. It’s not him being racist. It’s him taking a shot at Roman. Maybe if the person running the company wasn’t so close minded and didn’t only give a shit about one person that would’ve been room for other people to succeed. this is why people don’t respect or like Roman because he took advantage of the system. Because he knew deep down he wasn’t good enough to get everyone to look like crap in order for him to succeed and that’s precisely what happened.
Watching this pisses me off and takes me right back to how frustrated I was with Vince’s booking of The Wyatt Family/Bray I was so into it and it could have been handled so much better but Vince kept dropping the ball with them losing/ Bray losing, the stop starts with them as a faction/ solo pushes. Etc I always wanted Bray/The Wyatt Family to be built like The Undertaker..where people would legit fear having to go against Bray…build him strong and untouchable like they did for Taker for so many years and it just didn’t happened… At least for me I always enjoyed seeing Taker at the real final boss of Wrestlemania and that spot could have been for Bray..I was excited for it and it never happened, sadly it will never happen now since Windham’s passing… I really hope with The Wyatt Sicks we could get them to be the ones everyone fears, to be the next in line to be the ones to face at Wrestlemania…😢
At least Bray got used and had storylines under Vince. Triple H brought Bray back, to pander to the fans, and didn't know how to use him. It was Bray's worst run, six months of promos and one match (the crappy Pitch Black Match). So Triple H did worse with him than Vince ever did.
@@dhenderson1810no one at that moment, cena did not need that win. Same with how they built Rusev up for nothing just to lose to him but Bray was done so dirty.
everyone talk about sting undertaker but i think there should be triple threat match between undertaker vs sting vs bray wyatt in term of their dark character
You forgot about the short not so great but Bray got the majority of the wins feud with Dean Ambrose at the end of 2014. Actually maybe that was for the best.
The Wyatt's were a great group together, definitely should've had more play in the main event scene. I think it could've done without the "spells" as the leader of a cult Bray could've just been more about mental manipulation rather than supernatural. For me the high point of each of the wrestlers careers, I'm wasn't a fan of the Fiend. Harper (Lee) was fantastic in the ring and showed what he could do around it in AEW. He deserved the IC title. Sometimes this era reminds me of a sports team that keeps on giving playing time/contracts to loved but aging players to the detriment of the team as a whole.
The Wyatt family kept me watching WWE after CM Punk left. I loved and still love the old vignettes of Bray, his weird monologues. The eater of worlds and leader of the Wyatt family is still the best version of Bray for me
2:25 *Wait* With that being said. The time they did spend together is what I would label the time "The Wyatt Arc" of WWE. Only reason why I see him in the legend status and don't mind him getting all this praise post life. He was the villian of the show when he was the villian of the show. (Also because you name the arcs after the heel.) *Continue.*
I’m so sad moe, i really wanted to see uncle howdy and bray in the ring together, we got robbed of some great promos like I’m so devastated about this, i knew 100 % shit was gonna be lit 🔥 😩🤦🏾♂️
The Wyatt family was one of my favorite wrestling factions I'm going to miss Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper a lot pray for their families but always remember their loved ones
Nothing against Cena, but letting Cena beat Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania 30 was a slap in the face and it has to be blamed on the old regime and Stubbornness McMahon. Cena should’ve taken the pin fall loss to Wyatt, but remember, Cena never loses, LOL (that is Cena’s contract under Vince. WrestleMania 30 was overrated, IMO
Brodie Lee(Luke Harper) was way better in AEW as the exalted one gimmick dressing in 3 piece suits while dealing with his dark order lackeys like John Silver always messing things up and never following Brodys orders correctly.
Simple as Vince didn’t know how to book bray and the family as actual threats. If Brock didn’t beat taker, they should have pulled the trigger on bray the year after and win or even a MITB win. But atlast, Vince didn’t do any of this, instead, he had Goldberg beat theunbeatable monster… goddammit Vince.
*I don't remember if this was prior to him losing to Brock Lesnar. If so. Bray Wyatt is the reason Brock was able to defeat The Undertaker. I don't think so.* *But gives an in canon explanation as to why Undertaker has weakened.*
I wouldn’t say they failed them, Wyatt being the leader and all the winning he did I think they did right by him but in my opinion he should’ve been in the main event picture with Roman and Seth all those times, instead of a side character
I honestly don't believe wyatt is dead. this seems right up his alley. and his family. protect kayfabe. pretend to be dead. rise again. hey. one can dream.
Comparing The Wyatt Family to the that cringy faction new day is pure criminal, The Wyatt were as big as the shield, judgement day, probably not as big as Evolution or Bloodline but should not be compared with new day, new day yes they’re talented yes they had good matchs but they were the same characters even in both heel or face run they were always acting like clowns u cant take them seriously
he may be compared with undertaker but he never was as dominant or has an aura like taker his most wins came from his faction interfering from outside thats why nobody took him that seriously
With all due respect, you’re really not understanding. They lost entirely too much. They should’ve been booked as the equivalent to the shield because they were that good and Bray was better than all of them. Professional wrestling is about characters in personalities and Bray. Wyatt had it from day one. Roman didn’t have a personality or a character until the year 2020 so everything that happened before hand. You can’t book someone that talented to lose that often and then sit around, scratching your head and scratching your ass wondering why shit didn’t work out. You booked him to lose in too many big moments for the casual viewer to take him seriously. The fuck did you expect to happen? That’s why people think Roman on water because he didn’t lose a match for three years. Bray should’ve gotten that treatment.
I feel like the person that is driving. This video really isn’t hammering home. How damaging those key losses were to the Wyatt family and that’s ultimately what the mistakes were. You put the Wyatt family in too many bad situations where they were not capable of bouncing back. At the end of the day, professional wrestling is about perception of your characters. How does your audience perceive your characters. And with the Wyatt family it’s very easy to comprehend. The WWE fanbase was not made to look at the Wyatt family an act to take seriously because they suffered entirely too many high profile losses, sometimes consecutively. Always a bridesmaid never a bride that’s the mistakes that were made and it is that simple. Especially with Bray, and I said this long before he passed away: he very easily could’ve been this generations Jake Roberts this generations undertaker this generations, psychological character that when he comes at you, it’s a problem. And instead they made him a job man to the stars, and that was not necessary. And I’m sure I will have people in the comment section say that it wasn’t that bad to try to soften the blow. Yes, it was that bad and all of you know it. It all comes down to booking. Yes it was that easy to fix, but you had an imbecile with money running the company that didn’t see their value. And it’s a shame that the person narrating this video didn’t hammer that home. The person narrating it did a disservice to the Wyatt family. They lost too often. It’s that simple. That’s how the WWE failed them. They weren’t a priority when push came to shove.
The waytt was legit spacial to wwe i don't know how they failed them in the beginning but Hopefully they can do something good now that uncle howdy is there with the waytt 6
WWE didnt fail the Wyatt family... not at all... an elderly sexual predator and bully failed the Wyatt family... HHH and the current team is killing it with damn near everything now!
After watching this whole segment, I'm scratching my head cos it felt more documentary-ish (which is fine tbh) as to finding out HOW the WWE ACTUALLY "failed" the "Wyatt family?".. it just seems that the divine planning/timing unfurled a completely different way and unfortunately the flower wasn't allowed or able to bloom in the natural way it was intended to! I mean the passing of Luke Harper (Brodie Lee in AEW) during the middle of the Pandemic and THEN Windham's (aka Bray) tragic, sudden, shocking and ultimately everyone's unpreparedness when he died just sent the whole situation spiralling (not up not down) but just on the spot until it sort of spun out.. the establishment of the personas and then the slow build up and "passing of the torch" by Undertaker and the acknowledgement from The Rock and all the storyline's which kind of got stuck in the pipeline and/or put up on the shelf and seemingly forgotten about. I hope Triple H can REALLY do something good here and grab that torch, reorganize it and rightly so have Bo Dallas aka Uncle Howdy (Bray's younger brother in real life) step in to the boots of his older brother (which will always be impossible nevertheless yet still) and lead the Wyatt Sicks in HIS way and seem HIM carry the torch, ultimately for BIG BRO ❤ and the industry! (P.S. But lastly in ALL HONESTY, in my humble opinion, this last week's Monday Night Raw (June 17th 2024) AND Friday Night SmackDown! (June 21st 2024) had to be one of, if nor THE BEST weeks EVER in the history of the WWE where the following 6 days after a PPV have ALL be smashing..Clash At The Castle then gave us one of the best RAW's ever, oh and how can i forget Wednesday's NXT and then to finish off with Friday's SMACKDOWN! G.O.A.T. stuff mayn!❤💯😎💪🏽🙌🏽☝🏽✊🏽🥶😍🔥)
They should have not started the tease of them in the first place My Opinion. Others have Theirs that's fine I would expect this from AEW I liked the Undertaker n Kane thing that was then. I don't want this .. Didn't the 1 of the family members get a show deal from AEW - the EVP's I hope WWE hurry's up n Drops this Its cool as Tribute with Fireflies And documentary of Him That's enough It's like the Undertaker Emo/mad Max Goth Stuff My opinion..
Vince is a shitstain when it came 2 booking in the 2010's up to 2020. Thank goodness HHH took over 🙏 still Taker should've lost his streak Bray as a passing of the torch, Taker nd Kane should've lost 2 the Wyatts as a passing of the torch. Just horrible booking all over. Wish we could've gotten that.
Vince had a very one dimensional and cartoony view of spooky stuff. Look at the judgment day. Edge wanted judgement day to be a more mature version of the brood and Vince pushed for a full on over the top And goofy view of them.
Just like to say with bray’s passing is tragic but what we don’t see is Bray’s Spirit being the 6th member of the Wyatt 6 so he might not be in the flesh anymore but he is still leading his brother because he is the spirit of the New Faction
He should've beat Cena, but he lost so theres literally No reason he wasn't the 1 in 21-1 he and the wyatts shouldve beat the brothers of destruction I'm just stating opinions
Bray wyhatt was the first rival of John cena I ever watched and the family was In the first match I watched vs uso and Sheamus on a recap of smackdown 🥲
"If you look up at me, you will see a friend. If you look down at me, you will see an enemy, but if you look me in the eye, you will see a god." - Bray Wyatt Let him in
