One thing that Xaku’s deluxe skin does really well is give you back fashion options while the Vast Untime is active. If anything, they kinda look better while the ability is active than they do while inactive
I think it would be neat for Xaku's Prime to slowly regenerate the parts destroyed throughout the duration of its 4th ability. I also love the "teapot" deluxe skin. Maybe they could implement gold along the cracks of the "pots" for its Prime to simulate that Japanese repair technique.
I actually have my teapot skin, using a jade base and gold cracks. I had no idea this idea was more common. Looked so good I couldn't subsume my first xaku
I remember when Xaku first released and I find it's design being very creepy. A Warframe made of pretty much garbage and other unknown materials from long past somehow alive. You don't know Xaku's intentions given how expressionless it is wondering what will do next. I hope when Xaku prime releases, it will look more unknowly creepy.
Yeah Xaku has to be the frame I’ve put the most love into. I have 4 crimson tauforged archon shards slotted so I can have the 200% strength needed for total defense removal without sacrificing efficiency, range, or duration and also have both of my arcane slots available. Playing an auto-turret has never been so much fun and is one of my go-to frames for archon mission (prior to hunts), steel path circuit, and arbitrations right next to my nourish Styanax and gloom Grendel.
These videos are really well made. Been playing about 3 years, but It's cool to get some history on these Frames, and see how they've evolved since their launch.

Xaku was actually the first warframe I ever saw due to starting the game when heart of Deimos released. I honestly really like the design and I'm currently working on getting Xaku. The only thing really holding me back is it needing stuff from other open worlds
I'm almost done with the Sharrac teeth and esher devar and I need a couple more gallium for the thaumic distillate but after that the only thing left is those damned gyromag systems from Fortuna that need max standing
@@thewanderers97all you gotta do is talk to little duck,rank up her standing to operative which i think is the next rank after normal rank,then you can get the gyromags for 1000 standing each,to rank up and also get standing for her you need toroids which you get from these three big building areas on the map in orb vallis,by killing random enemies you should end up getting one,you just gotta stay consistent
Frost video please, I am begging. I just put in 5 tauforged shards ( 3 casting speed and 2 energy) and even wrote a short story I'm planning on producing into an animatic.
You forgot to mention one of the most egregious things DE did to xaku: on release, when you used the vast untime, xaku would only shed their skin, while armor pieces and syandanas would remain, but that got removed...
Xaku in design not only embodies the capabilities of the Void but also the depraved ingenuity of Ballas. Imagine losing three of your precious designs to the Void before even having a chance to commit a blueprint of them, seeing them return/finding them Frankensteined together, and making a blueprint of THAT.
correct me if i'm wrong but isn't xaku made out of ivara's squad? I remember someone said that ballas sent out a squad with ivara being the leader to hunt down some behemoth or very big monster on deimos and they failed and only ivara escaped
I love Xaku and really enjoy his play style. And even though you lose your fashion in the vast untime, if you have his deluxe skin, the skeleton can look really cool; and I honestly might like the look of the skeleton more than the fashion, all the broken pieces on the outside are hard to design around.
Great video for a great frame, love their kit since its very effective at dps, while also still being fun to play, all this at the price of your fashion sadly
I recently saw a video covering xata whisper as helminth on mesa and how it works on her regulators it's pretty busted considering how fast mesa shoots
The fact that Xaku's void guns scale with enemy level is enough alone to not worry about power strength, range is where it's at. I also subsume over the 3 ability (everything gets shredded anyway) with ensnare or nourish, depending on the build... Also, the "Fleet Footed" decree in circuit is one of the best because you'll be moving too fast for enemy AI to lock on to you, but your guns will still be aimbot perfect (you actually have to actively try to get downed, even at lvl cap)
@@johnathangee1161 Yeah, range boosts a few different things. 2 of my Xaku builds are max range (280% IIRC). Power strength helps, but is not as important.
@@eliaspanayi3465 I usually sub out the 3 ability trio cause Xata's is pretty nice (I think it synergies with the other void abilities, but I might be wrong) and I shield gate with 1 because Xaku doesn't get hit often so I don't really need the full gate.
Xaku, the bastard that made me farm for a long time. Always my go to i'm doing Steel Path cause, you know "broken". I run Cedo + Xaku, everything just go brrrr status with 100% Armor Strip.
Mirage night eclipse was damage reduction, I was more referring to Xaku introducing actual evasion (Dodge chance) as a stat into an ability rather than a play on theme/ideas of a power, but Mirage was also an evasion centered frame you are right about that (Hall of mirrors, night eclipse and prism working together to make Mirage harder to shoot at), something I forgot to take into account here, will correct it when I get to making a mirage video later down the line.
I’ve had Xaku a little over a month now, still don’t know how to properly survive with them. Especially when I can’t understand how arcane still work for the life of me.
I use rolling guard, invis quiver Basically you want 200 STR or 164 STR + corrosive projection for gaze (either way gets you 100% armor strip) Most people shield gate with breif respite and condem subsume. I just hide with quiver lol
Imo xaku prime is gonna be the most challenging frame ever since the idea of such frame would break the logic and lore of the game So, it would either never happen (unlikely) OR you constantly cycle between 3 frames per lost power you have equiped at the moment which is a performance NIGHTMARE

Maybe you guys have some advice for me? I really love his kit but I don't feel like he is easy to use for steel path? Sly Vulpaphyla + Xakus The Vast Untime won't give him enough evasion to withstand early Steel Path. I feel like I can do much better with other frames but I really want to use him even for steel path survival without using helminth. Any ideas appreciated. : ) And thank you for the video Umbral!
Do you have Molt Augment and a spare Nekros? Xaku needs a way to keep the heat off until it can build up enough power strength with Augment. Terrify, subsumed on 3, streamlines the mess of The Lost, strips armour and spooks enemies, giving you a bit of breathing room. If you have any Amber Shards, put one on for either starting Energy or more efficient Energy pickups. If you have Arcane Barrier or Aegis, that will help you with any shield problems, along with Brief Respite to brute-force your shieldgate back.
@@Stormfin Thank you for this idea. This really did the trick. The armor strip really helps with all of Xakus Skills and I haven't thought about it much.
I use Corrosive projection and 164 strength. This let's you fully strip with gaze. Next I get my range to 250 Personally I like having huge duration. My 4th lasts 62 seconds When gaze is up and stripping enemies melt. I also use quiver to hide lol I get 30 seconds with it
Yikes, id forgotten how poor xaku was at start. I did get him, shelve him for awhile, and it was probably after the updates that I made him one of my main frames.
