he didn't taught kamado family sun breathing. it was the other way around. when yoriichi had a heart to heart talk with sumiyoshi and his family, he granted their request; "to see how he wields his sword". sumiyoshi described yoriichi as a "spirit" when he showed the forms. after that, yoriichi decided to leave but left his earrings as a parting gift to the kamado family; as thanks for the free meals and care the family did to him when he got no place to stay after being banished from the demonslayer corps. but then again, sumiyoshi was more grateful to him for saving his wife and daughter from a demon attack. so in return, sumiyoshi (having a photographic memory) promised yoriichi to preserve his sword stances in a form of a dance; passing it to each generation so their family will be forever grateful to their protector-- yoriichi; hence, calling him "hinokami sama". the hinokami kagura was not specifically meant for combating demons, it is a symbol of friendship between kamado family and yoriichi. much like how the hanafuda earrings were made by yoriichi's mom for his protection, the kagura was it's counter part for the kamado family; yoriichi being the sungod himself.

He is my favourite character in kny ❤ his kindness and selfless characteristics makes him a great character and he is reason why tanjiro and others demons Slayers defeated muzan and am so happy that he was reborn in peaceful world with his uta😊

His earrings gave muzan a fright even centuries later What if tanjiro just had longer hair at that time Muzan would have gotten heart attack in his all 7 hearts and the series would end in the first season 😁

Even though this man died but leaved a big threat to muzan that maid him die Yorrichi is the real demon in demon slayer

Moon breathing also was created by Yoriichi and was a derivative of Sun breathing. Kokushibo stated " I couldn't use Sun Breathing. I could only use a derivative later named moon breathing" in chapter 178.

I honestly think he deserves his own anime because of how potentially strong he is. No one could've surpassed muzan in centuries but he was an absolute BEAST killing his cells and killing each one of them. Occasionally, if he was alive in the current era ( Taisho ) it would not take him long to defeat the upper moons. Now, it's easy to defeat the first 5 uppermoons but I will still say that he can have just a little difficulty because Kokushibo also has great speed and great swordsmanship but he still can't surpass Yoriichi at his best.

fun fact: in the golden era, michikatsu was actually almost as strong as muzan since muzan was weaker back then. That means that no matter how strong any of the hashiras are in the taisho era, no one can be compared to yorichi and michikatsu's strength

Because of jealousy and greedy Kokushibou still feel his moon breathing is imittating sun breathing. While moon breathing is not a fraction from sun breathing. Characteristic of the moon itself is the opposite from the sun. Maybe if Kokushibou walk on a right path in swordsman he can have his own pupil that can use a shadow breathing that derives from the moon breathing. Moral that we learned here is that harboring the feeling of greed & jealousy will lead our live to ruin.

I think his brother kokushibu is most important bc if it wasn’t for him yorichi wouldn’t teach others breathing styles he wouldn’t try to teach others but when he saw his brother could use breathing styles he tried and he succeeded Correct me if I’m wrong
