In this video we go over a bunch of tips to help create a successful eBay store. We've trialed and tested these 3 main things, and have talked about it frequently on this channel. It works for us, and hundreds in our Discord. We do have some other tips that we highly recommend that give you a boost in the algorithm, but those are over in the Discord for members doing the challenge!

@CATRP Crew Sell Similar also gives the listing an additional boost of 20 percent in impressions. This info was given out by eBay reps at the recent eBay seller Conference hosted here in the UK, The eBay reps were actually suggesting everyone sell similar rrather than re list to see a boost in impressions

I think the whole team can no longer hear a certain pitch that the disc cleaner makes. Should play some tunes in the barn while working but I know u cant play during filming due to copywrite

The thing about Vapor Trail is not so much that it's by Renovation, but that it is a shmup. Shmups have always been a high price genre dating all the way back to the very early days of eBay.

Great info, one thing I would say after ending the listings you can also bulk sell similar. Not sure if there is a reason why I shouldn't do it that way and it's best to do it individually so thought I would mention it :)

So, I just did a test. I ended and RELISTED (not sell similar) and when relisting it did generate a new eBay item number. Are you all sure there is a difference between Sell Similar and Relisting? Is it a mix of up terms related to the eBay item number that I am missing? I've been interested in this subject for a few weeks now and I have yet to find anything definitive myself. Not saying you guys are right, but in any case I just want to work with the same objective Chase mentions.

Years ago the idea of sell similar was better than relisting. People just ran with it and believed it. I don't think there's a difference

When ending listings and selling similar, why open each one individually? There is a batch function, select all, click the sell similar button and it will do all of them at once. Opening all those tabs and deleting them individually is a headache.

Good video to remind me of everything that I should be doing. Ending and selling similar is requiring me to enter everything again: custom sku, price, weight, shipping costs. This is standard right? Just confirming that I'm not missing something.

I would love to join discord yet for all the information you provide regarding games, but I'm from Denmark and eBay is not as prominent here. I mainly collect Lego and games. I usually pick up more sets or games to sell so my collection can be more or less ''free''. But yeah ... I kinda got a little off joining the Discord when you mention, in another video, that you saw mostly once that joined it would join the challenge (I might have misunderstood the meaning when you spoke about it).

I don't really understand why you would delete the unsold items and the sell similar on all of them? why not hit the select all button and bulk relist them all at once?

Because some details usually need to be changed on every listing, item details and price

Google shopping controversy, I believe that once eBay submit them it takes 30 days for Google to verify the link and at it to be available on the searches for 30 days is it on eBays side it’s on GoogleS

As somebody who just started doing eBay regularly this is very helpful. Even for me who only does sports cards. I stick to 10 listings a day and have seen the progress. Great stuff CATRP! One question: Is there no fees for ending and selling similar?

As long as you haven't surpassed your monthly free listings quota based on your level of store choice, then yes, there shouldn't be any fees.

Good information. Question about ending and selling similar. So do you have to take new pics of items or you just keep them saved on the computer? Or do you just save pics off of old listing and then use for new listing?

you just go to the active listing you want to end. select. then go to the drop down box near edit and click end. after you end them you go to your "unsold" page and from there you just select them all again and then click the drop down sell similar. from there it takes you to another page and you can edit everything there in bulk if you want.

Question about Ending and selling similar. I sell the same items all year round in large quantities, would you still suggest ending and selling similar or allowing the listing to re-list on their own?

If I understand correctly I would try to keep quantity listings replenished, I would think that updating the quantity would be like updating the listing. At the very least eBay would want to push the item because they see that it's selling. For example there's a seller that sells hundreds of the same console, and they're always at the top of the search as they continue to add quantity. Falls under a weird umbrella. Maybe check where your items fall in the search, and consider ending/selling similar to make it the best listing possible and replenish from there. I'll bring this up today in our live Discord call

Strange question, but EBay isn't paying you to post vids...........right?? Some reselling RU-vidrs ALWAYS seem to be killin' it!! $100k, $200k, $300k per year in sales. I can TOTALLY see Ebay possibly paying a content creator to show "what sold" or "how to" and disguising it as "educational content." IDK, just a little conspiracy theory of mine....prob completely wrong, but some of these channels seem a little too good to be true??🤔

We end the oldest items on our store everyday. For us it’s usually around 3-4 months old based on the amount of listings we have. If you have more questions like this consider joining our discord where there is a community of resellers looking to help each other grow!

On Ebay ot is very difficult to make a money on Ebay, once you list you get charged unlike other platforms and they nickle and dime you to no profits never mind the post office always increases the price of shipping and finally dumb sellers you sell items for next to nothing they are to stupid to understand what profit margin is and with the almost free selling they undermine all other sellers eBay should have lower limits on pricing Ebay doesn't care about sellers I have cheaper items that are new,but I am not going to give them away Because much on Ebay I refuse to buy things on Ebay I am just about finished on Ebay I have new clothes at a very good price ND there are people thT can supposedly sell clothes with stains and holes for more then I charge for new and hard to clothing I don't blame the sellers,but I will not buy on Ebay I have lost to much and they have made to much money from me.
