Starting off, I recommend getting chickens locally that already grown. This is what I did. I found a local farmer that was selling them for 20 bucks each. I got 5 hens from him and started my chicken journey. There are also farmers markets. Our local TSC store has a farmers market the 1st Saturday of every month in spring, summer and fall. A lot of people sell chickens there. Of course these are mostly egg layers, not meat birds. Thanks for sharing. Hope everything is well!

Great channel just found you on you tube and been watching your videos have a question for you. My town just passed in January or we could have four hens so I went to the feed store and I bought six already breaking the law😀 I already have them in a coop and run but I’d like to let them out into the yard for the first time. I have a 6 foot privacy fence around the whole backyard. Do you think they could jump and fly over that fence or should I clip their wings till they get a little older and heavier thank you very much keep up the great channel

Love your videos. I am a new chicken owner and am ready to put my chickens out into their new place. One question. when you put chickens in coop for the night, do you need to put the food and water in with them overnight? That's the only thing I am not sure about. I only have 4 chickens and I got a small coop.
