#2 I just do what is required of my job. I am not happy there. It’s not what I thought it was going to be at that job. I am happy at home no problem just when I get there I’d rather just not engage with anybody there other than good morning or whatever I need to say about the job, and good night when it’s time to go home other than that it’s just a job for me and I like the people there not anymore. They have disappointing me.

Pile 2. This is very accurate i was extreamely engaged my boss went on leave and i worked to the bone with my team my at the time teammate did not support me at all. My boss had come back at the end of the year last year and we got the notification of lay offs. I worked to the bone these last couple years i lead projects, developed training programs and was the top person in my position. Ive got a lot of awards in a relatively short time of being employeed and eligble for awards. Im the first in my position to do a lot of things and its great because i worked really hard and i did a lot of collaboration with other people in my level to help smooth and improve peoples experience. I dont even think most of them know it was me who went and spoke for every individuals specific situation because of management being that disengaged and the team losing hope and having fear theyd be heard. Ive done all this work i do at least two levels above my title, ive only said no to overtime once, ive worked my mind into insanity to get this promotion for my senior title and they told me in yearly review i probably wont get it. Ive done so much in the last year it was like taylor swift breaking all these records its just unheard of. I put in so many extra hours believe me 12.5 hrs is a lot of time. It was my whole life for three years. I disengaged when i was told i wouldnt get it because they couldnt "make a good case for it" mind you ive been doing the same work since i was entry level 3 years ago. So ive really been working 3 levels above since i got hired on. I see favoritism towards the men and im the only woman on the team. I see the men get to take weekend days off because theyre openly talking about drinking on saturday night and going all these places and never having to spend their vacation or sick time and i havent been able to really take time unless i had covid or the flu, i as a woman could never speak about saturday night like that etc. It was also how a particular girl joined the team and she was an absolute bully and he let her bully me pretty much every day for 9 6 months. She has finally left but i will never not be bitter that she had more than one hr case and let her stay employed espeically when she sexually assulted me the first day. I do not hate my boss. I feel like the last person thought about when ive given my all for almost four years and i feel like im still waiting in line for people who are able to laugh and have a good time and i have to grind to even get the slightest of reocognition. This has gone as far as the bully and others trying to take credit for my work, saying my projects were "their idea" even though i presented my ideas months before and really have transferred my projects from previous employement. Ive disengaged because a woman in stem men are disgusting to you and to be honest you gotta work 8x as hard as the men but theyll always get the recognition. Im miserable everyday im here i hate it. I love training and teaching and more hr like things and i used to like it here but its not me anymore. Ive never felt like i belonged and my validation of worth came from this job and its not longer that 😊
#3 the problem with my coworker is,they want me to work less and chaty and complain and make drama, but me zero drama, zero chaty... They are to immature. I am crazy about my job, but i am not tell them my personal Life. I do my job, i don't ask for help, they do a lot, they don't understand, how i do that 😂. I ❤ my job i am happy. Thank you for this reading. Felt drawn to #2 and #3. I am a feminist LGBT woman and I found out my coworkers and managers as friendly as they are , are homophobic, racist and mysogynist. Europe but it feels like Southern US 🙃 I tend to keep to myself since I heard them out themselves to be all that I have to protect myself and my friends of other ethnicities from. They are also Christian while I am secretly Wiccan. It would not go well for me to let my immediate team know about my spirituality because they are the type to judge. Also they have poor boundaries and reacted like children when I defended mine and other pwople's boundaries in the first year on the job. Been giving me unsollicited advice and making "friendly" comments about my body- I am on the plus size and been told I look nice but should lose the belly weight. I am fine with how I look and take measures to be healthier but I don't appreciate comments about someone's appearance like that or the desire to laugh together at my or their physical insecurities. Recently broke a front tooth and been harrassed a little to talk more and laugh more- while I am naturally uncomfortable and want to hide my missing tooth until the dental treatment for a permanent crown is finished. I'm sorry but I am not looking for that kind of vulnerabikity and familiarity with coworkers the way I would with real close friends or family. I know for a fact they would love to be able to laugh at my missing tooth "old lady smile" on condition I start laughing about it first and exposing myself like a jester/ buffoon. Sorry, I'm just here to work and especially that I can't feel safe coming out as LGBT/ non-Christian/ feminist/ with friends of ethnicities these people don't respect. Coincidentally, the company moved us from a remote schedule with a day per month in the office ... to a hybrid schedule with 8 days per month (2 every week) in the office. I want to show the managers I won't be domesticated like a good little dog with their forced socialization, especially that I can't trust them to tolerate or accept me. I have a few thing to bond over with coworkers though, until I find a better job where I can speak my truth- we all like to cook and to shop at farmers markets if possible and everyone is dissapointed that our bonuses are harder to reach and we had a nightmare boss for 2 months and we just switched over to a nicer boss... but who started the introductions with the question: SO, are you married, do you have children? 😁 Erm, no and no, sorry to dissapoint you, I guess 🙃 I do appreciate what I learned in this job over the past 4 years and that it made me realize a remote job is ideal for me for the long run. My health improved when we were not coming in the office. I can manage small talk, worked call centers a LOT but am at peace with being an inyrovert and seeming too quiet. It's the only thing I am open to showing / advocating for at work: it's ok to allow women too to be quiet or even sulk, not just men. Or: it's ok for a female coworker to not smile all the time or "create a cosy atmosphere"- we allow male coworkers to not be entertainers/ smiley/ brotherly/ fatherly, why not show more grace to women who are introverts? Tried to talk about disability and healthy boundaries with disabled coworkers as my own partner is disabled by that turned into a shit show: they asked intrusive medical questions about my partner and talked about exisiting diaabked colleagues as thiugh they are "so different" from us and "poor guy/ poor girl". So... I get they are frustrated I am not more open but this is not really a safe, inclusive space. Moving on with gratitude for what I learned 💕
Pile 1 and 2 resonates. There is a heavy recession going on in my field of work, but once that's done, planning to leave. Twice I was promised for promotion, but not given since one time they wanted to promote someone else and other time one other team member said he will leave if not promoted and they wanted to keep him as well, so they didn't promote me.
