Hahaha progression milestones for game mechanics has nothing to do with content, and don't forget that the system was created before DLC content was put out ;)

Thank you so much for your videos! I've learned so much from this and from watching your older videos too. I started a new world, put your tips to work. Beautiful landscapes, Insanely profitable. At peace with the pirates. Trade rights with AI, but I refused to do any alliances, having an attitude of "I am Switzerland" and didn't want to get sucked into wars....well, out of nowhere (or I had no clue) every freaking player declared war on me!!! Meanwhile, I had not built much in the way of ships and defenses so I quit the game. I'm afraid to load it now, LOL. I guess I could load an earlier save, built up defense/ships, give money to everyone.... alliances? I dunno. I'm bummed. Maybe I should start a new game. Sigh.

@@TakaRU-vid I went back to an earlier save and loaded it. Rep with Willie, Bente, and Qing were all 90+ with trade rights, and in the 30s with Jean La Fortune and Anne Harlow and at peace. I quickly gave everyone a gift. Then I went ahead and made an alliance with Willie, Bente, and Qing since they had been annoying the crap outta me to do that for a long time. Right after that, Jean La Fortune and Willie were at war. But I think my Anno1800 world is saved. For now. Thank you.

@@TakaRU-vid Yeh I ditched that world and started a new one from scratch, incorporating more tips I've learned. I also suffer from simply wanting to start over too frequently. Just give me any excuse. They all hate me, fine, just #&$!)& y'all and I'll start over. I like the world when it's simple and you dont have investors screaming at you about coffee.

How do you show restock timer? Dont see it in game

You mention that this only affects the player, individually. How do different trading restock rates work in multiplayer, when everyone buys from the same stock but the restock rates are individual to each player? And does passive trade differentiate between players in multiplayer, or similarly not?j

Actually that's a good question about restock rates and passive trade and I don't have an answer right now. We've never really looked into multiplayer data as it's in very low demand. I'll check into it though for you.

I am in a game right now and I have about 1000 investors on my first island in the old world. Eli stil only sells 8 or 12 specialist. Could this be a bug? I am playing on custom settings on expert difficulty. Restock on medium if I recall. Could this be the cease of it or do I need to trigger something to make it 20 specialist?

I never said anything about 20 items available for sale other than the 30 minutes timer in which you can buy up to 20 items from the available selection. 1,000 investors and 25,000 global population unlocks traders selling 12 items at a time.
