@@ryanralley6080 No! Maxwell is a new kid on the block and definitely does not hold this title. The Emperor of Rhythm & Blue without doubt is no other than Mr. Howard Hewett.
On point, on 🔥 and also on my shared birthday with DJ Cassidy !!! I'm 20 years senior, but 20 years Jr. because of our mutual "LOVE OF MUSIC". Late 70s, I met my daughter's father, who was transportation/crew for the DJ on eastern LI, NY. where I met Markie, aka Biz Markie (R.I.P) Shout out to the port and Happy Birthday 🎉 to DJ CASSIDY !!!
Howard that was absolutely amazing I love love love it fantastic thank you for sharing this amazing video love you Howard always and forever god continue to bless you always love always from Cleveland Ohio ❤️
Who is Jodi!🤔 You mean Jody, as in Jody Watley? Howard is a more difficult name but Jody’s name is just four letters and you misspelled, make me really wonder just how corrupt our local intercity school systems are.
@@ryanralley6080 no disrespect to Jody. That was a weird autocorrect. I do know how to spell her name. I would love to see the original Shalamar reunite. Sadly. That just won’t happen. I don’t know the real story. I’d say only those three do
This was an absolute mess. Thank God for Chante’ Moore. Even DJ Cassidy felt sorry for the ex-singer and had Chante’ to followup to make the crowd forget howard’s Crash n burn Antic.🙄 For those of you saying he sound great must be complimenting out of pure sympathy.
@Kaye Martin I strongly agree with you. Howard’s performance was extremely tacky. How can someone that sings a song continuously- since Shalamar hits are his only hits- screw up singing with the track. I felt very embarrassed for the man watching this video. He’s totally lost that golden touch he had in the 70s and should’ve lip sync the tune. Chante’ Moore was trying her best to cover his mistakes with small ad-libs and her dancing but it just wasn’t enough.
