Howard Jones is one of my favorite singers of all time. So him in concert last back in the late 1990s. He came out and he played all the instruments by self, there was no one else and he did a wonderful job. Is truly a one-man band.

Agreeed, as good as he did he should have done better so under appreciated he changed the synth sound into his own and produced completely new way of his own, how this guy didn't not only get a number 1 but quite a few number 1s He has so many great hits that although did well should have done better than they already did The keyboard wizard

What a performance! I've been fortunate enough to see him perform live on many occasions. Three festivals (one of which I met him, although I was a little drunk, wearing a pink t shirt with stickers on my niplles and beer stains and he was still such a gent), his Revolution of The Heart tour (managed to have a brief chat with Robin Boult at that one. What an awesome guitarist) and my personal favourite at Queens Hall near to where he grew up. It was a tiny, intimate 120 seater venue and I was sat about 10 feet away from him. He did the whole set with just one keyboard and was phenomenal. It was also his first ever public performance of Ordinary Heroes. It was Howard who inspired me to start learning piano again after a 20 year gap and also the inspiration to me taking on music production as a hobby. My first piano solo piece was also Howard inspired as I started it with the last chord of Hide & Seek. I hope that one day I can inspire at least one person to learn to play music, in the way he has for so many others.

Ryan Darbyshire Listen: I was in class and I had to fart really badly. I couldn’t hold it so I struggled but successfully let it out silently. Much to my surprise - and to my abject horror - I shit my pants. It was this gooey warm stuff with the consistency of mayonnaise and it went up and down into my butt crack. And to make it all worse, it smelled REALLY bad and really strong, like baby shit, like rotten eggs, and it wafted all around the room. So I just figured “what the fuck” and I just pissed my pants, too. Then I dropped that class.

SlowBloke Since i wrote that comment i also realized on the album that i'm listening to at the moment he used a lot of DX7 as well which obviously isn't analogue but still sounds a lot better than the new gear he's playing here, of course some if it is down to the way it's been recorded but that Bass line on what is Love sounds fantastic. I liked the sound of Human's Lib that much i just bought a couple of DX7's to put in my studio 👍
@SlowBloke123
@SlowBloke123 5 лет назад
@@rhiannonstudios we have similar tastes. That bass line sound is probably my fav synth sound ever :) dx7 could be horribly tinny in the wrong hands (very much a classic in the right hands ofcourse) but even in the wrong hands that sounded better than the stuff we get today imo
@paulbuswell6566
@paulbuswell6566 5 лет назад
I totally agree. I have analogue and digi. synths, I use daws and vsts. But this wasn't the essence of Howard jones that I remember. Seeing a macbook running Ableton on every setup, including Howards made me feel really sad. I KNOW tech moves on, but HJ was a huge influence on me during my teen years. i'm still chasing a Jupiter 8, if I can find someone to buy a kidney. While I would have loved to see this performance using the original gear and sequencers, I guess it comes down to practicality. I get my live analogue, sequenced fix these days from Kebu.

Look at you two idiots spewing the usual nonsense. The patches sound fine. People are actually performing here. Try lugging around and performing with a JP-8 and MSQ-700 and see where it gets you. I dare you. Oh, right. By bad. You don't perform at all.
