This is the official video for Simple Man from Episode 3 of the Oyster sung by Howard Jones (Light the Torch, The Devil You Know, and Killswitch Engage).
Tomorrow never dies, all is saved in The Cloud Atlas Storage File. Fear not. We are immortal, pain is illusion, all is relative to viewpoint. Who are you? Who? Who?
@@daoyang223 sion is a great album made with RU-vidr Jared dines. If you haven’t heard it do so. Howard is back to his absolute best on that album imho.
I think Jesse is really good...and all three albums since his return have been excellent. But i agree with you...Howard will always be the voice of KSE to me. Probably because Daylight Dies was my introduction to them. He is magnificent
@@jasonx4008 yeah it definitely depends on intro albums because my first album I’d heard was alive or just breathing so I prefer Jesse for the screaming. But OBVIOUSLY Howard is the superior singer
I mean, they second self titles KSE album was pretty bad. Not saying that there aren't bangers on it, but it was the album that lead to Howard leaving the band.
A buddy of mine is a Deathmetal singer... he is also an Opera singer >.> ppl tend to think they are just yelling but the control on their vocal is just amazing
I still find myself coming back to this video from time to time just to experience the national treasure that is Howard Jones. I come back to this video when life gets hard and something about this version of the song gives me hope.
I will keep commenting until he does the whole song. It needs to be done. His voice has true passion and power. He isn't just singing the song he is portraying the song with so much emotion and power.
Agreed. 👍 He brought them their very distinctive sound. I didn't have to look on the internet to find out when Howard left and the other guy came back. You could just tell it in the sound.
I always find myself coming back to this beautiful cover. always makes me tear up. such a simple cover but so god damn powerful. I Love Howard's voice.
When shinedown did this song it blew me away.......this.....this though......the song stopped 10 minutes ago and I still have goosebumps....all hail the Jonester!!
The Shinedown version is completely obnoxious. One of the worst covers ever right next to Puddle of Mudd covering Nirvana. Howard is killing it cuz he’s not over doing it and he knows when to take it down a notch to do the song justice.
I agree, even tho I love Five Finger Death Punch and think they had a great version, Ivan Moody is no Howard Jones. Ivan is good but Howard has the voice of a frickin Angel
Going through it hard in 2020, this mans voice, broke me, gave me chills, made me choke up and tear up, and gave me fucken hope. God bless him...omfg...
this man.... i love him so much and i'm so glad that hes still around.. love you howard - you helped me in the darkest times of my life - while listening to BHBS and Killswitch and everytime i saw you performe live. hope you doing well
Bro. Really? Why, after all these years of listening to Killswitch and Light the Torch, do I still end up surprised by what Howard can do? That was dope. Now I want more “unexpected” covers!
I’m a metal head from South Georgia that loves southern rock also. One of my top metal vocalist singing a southern rock classic is so awesome. Please do a full version! 😎🤘🏽
This man and that voice got me through the hardest and greatest times of my life. Especially heartbreak and the ARMY days. Best vocalist ever. Period. Killswitch engage forever hooah!
They say men get their first flowers on their grave. Please, lets send Howard Jones his first flowers while he's alive. I genuinely love and appreciate this man's work.
Howards vocals hit differently for real. From this, to Killswitch, to SION with Jared Dines, all the way to Light the Torch. Dude has some serious talent. And to think of all the shit he’s been through as well. Such an inspiration.
That made my hair stand on end, eyes well with tears and think back over my childhood and think about my own father. This was incredibly moving. I've never heard Howard singing like this, but after hearing this, i'd absolutely LOVE to hear more. Wow.
