@Christopher Bingham I disagree, I think in their way, Howard and Bernadette grow into each other to be a well matched, nurturing couple. One example that really sticks out to me is the episode where Bernadette is back at work and hides in her kids playhouse because she doesn’t want to admit to Howard that she needs the space from her kids. Later in the episode it’s revealed that Howard knew all along that Bernie was lying, but didn’t complain or draft his friends to take on the responsibilities for him (or hold it over Bernie’s head). He just takes care of his children, like a good father, and understanding that he and his wife are both competitive fiercely independent people who don’t like admitting they need help, doesn’t tell his wife that he knew
