Love your family and your reviews. Hubby and I had the worst meal ever in Gatlinburg at Howard's at one time and management was not at all concerned. We are NOT complainers so that speaks to how bad the experience was. MAYBE we should try again. LOL

I remember eating there many years ago. And I do mean many! That appetizer platter looks so good. Great variety on it. I need to go back there sometime. Everything looked great! Do you know what they have done with the building on main street that caught on fire back in the fall? We were out there when that happened. Hope ya'll have a great 4th of July! God bless America!
We had a really good experience at Howard's and don't know why it has taken us this long to try it out. There's just so many great choices in the area. The building that caught on fire was leveled within a few days of the fire....probably not long after you left town. Right now, there's just a blue mesh fence that sits right next to the sidewalk. They've removed all of the ruble and derbris, so it's just an empty property as of now. There doesn't seem to be any sign of progress on any new construction. We've heard different "rumors" that they will rebuild another Puckers and Chinese Bizarre in its place and then someone else told us that it will be turned into another parking lot. We haven't heard anything official for what will truly happen to the property moving forward. We hope that you had a great 4th of July, Cathy. Yes - God Bless America!!!

We said the same exact thing. We have past by Howard's so many times and my parents even saved a matchbook from Howard's that they got while on their honeymoon, but we have never been before. We will definitely put the Melting Pot on our list. We've been to the one in Nashville before. It's since been closed down due to the Christmas bombing a couple of years ago. We will definitely try to visit the Melting Pot in Gatlinburg to film and review. My hat is off to your Wolverines - The Buckeyes have not been able to keep up with them the past 2 Novembers. Prices there looked really good for Gatlinburg! Loved to hear the kick in the batter for the mushrooms. You sold us on the steak burger! Next time we go up we will eat here.
