@@pogfection787 I think it's a balance between the two. Forgotten has to be mostly up close, and the Soul is tethered to the Forgotten and can't escape if things go downhill even more, unless you have birthright
What i like most about this OST is that it sounds like it's tailored to fit the gameplay this one song in particular, has a methodic, almost machine-like beat going throughout the whole track it sounds like a "this is gonna be a long one, brace yourself and stay focused" which is exactly what the Hush fight feels like
It’s both energizing and... weirdly methodical, playing right into the war of attrition that is this fight against Hush. Both energy and composure are required to survive. Never thought anything would beat Morituros for me but I learned something new today.
Esp when he does one E/W and then immediately does N/S and you have to dodge the wobbly grid... bonus if he does eye-lasers right after that during final phase.
I literally have no idea if i like this more than Ridiculon's Hush theme. They are both very good, both you and Ridiculon are very very talented artists.
I like the fact hush's spawn fits with intro of this track, Mudeth making great job with ost fitting with all what happens in game Also 1:17 moment very fits with hush when he uses some spamming attack
This is litterally on another fucking level. I get that a majority of the themes in this soundtrack don't play for long but god. I usually hear this for like a straight 4 minutes. And I don't hate it. I fucking love it. It gets so good.
Really appropriate title given that Hush’s design gives the appearance of a face pressing against the flesh thats smothering it. Like its actually fighting to get out instead of dying quietly. Fantastic track
1:12 You can just feel the continuum tears spam attack at this part. It starts off relatively tame, then slows a bit as the tears pass through the wall... then all of a sudden, literally 5 seconds later, the music rocks on as the screen gets filled with tears everywhere, as if Hush was all over the place! And it barely slows down then just to intensify again as Hush fires another volley of continuum tears, but at a different angle!
i i saw that this was posted and i looked through the tracklist and said to myself "i wonder when he's going to do the antibirth floors" _i may be a dumbass but this song does slap and so do a majority of the rest of them_
@@aubreyathame Update: I had a similar moment when I was listening to the Mom Fight theme and thought "I assume that his version of the Mother Fight theme will be based on this" before realizing what Memento Mori was.
Varies. Some of them a couple of days. Some I worked over months (not continuously), in between other work. If I'm in the zone, I can get a track done in a day or two, but i can't keep that momentum up forever.
Oh my god this is actually so good, and for my favorite Bossfight so far too, I usually just go to this one for fun for the energy the fight has, and it's nice to know the music mod is gonna keep the chaotic intense energy. Stellar work as always mudeth! (Also is it okay if I use Dytension for a Celeste modded map? I tried looking at your website and the hyperlink to your email wasnt working and I just wanna make sure that it would be okay, with credit of course)
Figured it out, it's even more satisfying to play. If you ever decided to sell your OST in a physical medium I think you would make good money doing it, I'd for sure buy it, in the meantime I'll buy it off your bandcamp when I can.
@@mudeth Of course, thanks for putting out great music and never phoning anything in. That would be wise of course. I think if you made a video announcing a physical release you would have a lot of people interested, and if you find that vinyl is prohibitively expensive to produce I know cassette tapes are way cheaper by comparison and have made a definite resurgence lately! Best of luck no matter what you choose to do, love your stuff man.
I have a mod that replaces the entire music with youre themes, then i encountered hush as eden, i was flabbergasted how well the soudntrack and the gameplay fitted togheter!!
I love morituros, but this one is a bit more... slowly? I dont know how to call it. But i feel it a way better to the danmaku fight of hush. Is like i can enjoy the music while dodging attacks
Both Excelsior and Mudeth’s Hush tracks sound like doom music (albeit with something specific mixed into it) with Excelsior’s being DOOM 2 and Mudeth’s being 2016/Eternal
For a lot of your tracks, I had the feeling that they don't really fit with the game, despite being fucking amazing on their own. But this one feels right, and I think captures the "feeling" of hush very well
A fantastic track in its own right, but honestly, it gives me more the vibe of being the floor music (i.e. if the Blue Womb was expanded to be the size and complexity of the other floors), more so than boss music. The labored, strangled breathing sounds in Morituros just fit the situation so well that their absence is immediately felt. Still a wonderfully done piece of music, though!
