What you just Google "Lowell Diner" and go to the first three? On the corner cafe(it is a diner) has the BEST bootmills in Lowell, Then Fitzys right down the street, and don't forget the Cameo Diner on the other side of the river.
Diners and soda fountains... two favourite haunts of my youth! There was a little place across from the train station in LaGrange, IL that served fried chicken on a bed of thin, curly fries in a little, red plastic basket. For the longest time, THAT was my meal-of-choice!
In Nashua,NH, on the topic of places, there was a place on Bridge St called Frenchys with a stool counter inside. But that was after HowdyDoodys down the Block. In adulthood though it was Beefsides Loudon Rd concord,NH and inManchester its the RedArrow. In Lowell I like Friend's. I work in Lowell regularly, that's why.
