Wicketkeeping legend Ian Healy and current superstar Alyssa Healy take part in round two of their Specsavers Challenge - this time they're trying to adjudicate some lbw appeals
Even if she was better in this sort of scenario there are millions who are better when you only ask them to pay attention for a minute and a half and they'll get to make 5 decisions. Good luck being better than a professional umpire for 24 or 30 hours of concentration in 5 days
It is not a contest about umpires. It is showing how hard it is to umpire and also about glasses. Neither Healy would make a good umpire without training. All ICC umpires have had to work their way up. They dont walk off the street and just start.
0:55 - Ian Healy saying "Starcy...this'll be a wide" hahaha. 1:54 - Shane Watson is the bowler, but he's still reviewed the LBW decision as he thinks it's not out :-P Two amazing wicketkeepers that are just magic to watch
Trust me AU is Doing such a Fantastic job to publish this type of Videos.. so at least we also Cover everything, i want to say Cricket AU please publish more videos like that 🎉🙏🙏🙏
It is said that I suffer from Umpires' Lament... Blind in one eye, and can not see out the other! And, yes, I used to umpire! Australian Rules football and indoor cricket! Toughest decision to give? Run out at the bowlers' end in indoor cricket. If you can get to the point that you can give the batsman out, on the line, and the batsman agrees with you, you know that you have made it as an umpire!
Umpire to the director we have player's review for lbw not given by umpire FIRST check ultra edge , I Can see no bat involved Start ball tracking plese - Original decision not out 🖐️ Pitching in line ‼️ Impact line🛑 Wicket - hitting Umpire u have to change your decision from not out to out
I umpire Grade cricket and the players always complain when I give them out LBW. I get one quick look and that is it. No DRS or replays, one split second to decide. So to the players who complain when given out, you try umpiring.
It would be more better if they don't know what was their partner's decision. Because it seems like he is just going against the decision of female umpire 😂
