HOYA MACROPHYLLA VARIEGATA | HELPFUL REPOTTING & CARE TIPS
This Hoya macrophylla variegata is a beautiful example of a hoya plant. Hoyas are great indoor plants, and if you live in a warm growing zone, they make great outdoor plants as well.
Today I’ll cover basic hoya care tips, including how to care for hoyas and the soil for hoyas as I get to repotting this one. This particular houseplant has seen better days, but I know how to fix it! Come along as I it gets a new home.

I use succulent soil with perlite, lava rock, pumice, coco chips and charcoal and vermicompost

The way I get the old soil off of my plats, is to run it under the garden hose. I use a slow gentle flow, but it helps to keep from injuring the roots. I just ordered my first Hoya today!

I grow all of my Hoyas (approximately 50 different types) in LECA and PON. I'm in Canada and most are under Barrina or Mother Growlights.

Yes! They are so easy and I think since they are slow growers, it is so rewarding when they put out new growth!

I grow my plants in a aroid mix I found on Etsy and the plants love it!!! Hi Rosetta, good luck ! I have Hoya carnosa, Hoya carnosa compacta, Hoya Bella, Hoya Australis Lisa and Hoya Krimson Princess and they are all in a 25% cactus mix and 75% bark and are doing well. My Bella flowers every 3 months , the others don't but I grow them indoors in Belgium where the weather is not like yours... Keep those interesting videos coming and thanks for sharing !

@@rosettagrows3315 Yes I am checking my plants every Sunday and my Hoyas almost always need watering. My Calatheas, Marantas I check every Wednesday as well

I have a Hoya macrophylla and I grow it in an east window with lots of morning sun and I water it more than other Hoyas. I’ve had it for three months and it has grown 8 new leaves. Good luck with yours.

Are you keeping this in some Direct sunlight? Like is it safe to have morning sun on this and then afternoon indirect light? I just got one and I do not want to kill it 😅
