I really really really want you to cover an update on your fern leaf cactus. I now have one in my home environment and it is my favorite plant. It's starting to put out its first growth since transit and I'm just really really excited about learning about what you do for it

I purchased a two node rooted cutting with new growth starting for $20usd. Love the fishtail look and also have a Hoya Bella because it's a smaller version. I don't know if I got a great price but it was from someone that lived down the street. It's already developing the new growth into leaves. Honestly I don't mind waiting; I really plan on having the ones I do have for my whole life and I'm not very worried about collecting new plants. I've learned that I really enjoy growing a small plant large, not collecting that rare plant like I thought I liked.

This hoya is pricey in the States but I've found it to grow much faster than my other hoya. I struggle with it starting peduncles then they never bloom, fortunately I love the leaves! The broget is much more rare(although my regular poly does get some splash)

I adore my H. polyneura. Even prettier in person than on camera. The price here in US was ridiculous the last few years. $15-45 for 1 node with 2 leaves. I waited and got a more established plant with each stem having -6-8 nodes each. Caught a huge bargain and grabbed the plant for around $45. It has been my easiest and fastest Hoya I've grown. Mine is a deep dark Forest green nearly black with big white dots &dashes here and there. It decided it wanted to be passively hydroponic so I am going with it. Like You i've been fertilizing year round as i found out from a scientist that house plants & plants in general have huge root growth in fall & winter. So fertilizing year round is good for them. I also use Orchid leaf ( foliar) spray about every 1-2 weeks. They have most of their leaf growth in Spring and won't be in the negative for when that occurs.💚🌿🍃🍀🍀🪴😊

I purchased a small fishtail Hoya, rooted propagation, last summer roughly. It was in a very chunky orchid looking mix. Super seller, they even sent the fertilizing schedule it had been on. I did take time to establish, I’d say several months, I did not ask about the previous growing conditions (something I try to do now if at all possible) Anyway, after it started growing, it’s the same as you’ve said, steady grower during the growing season, I’ve propped it several times in moss, not the fastest rooter, but consistent. The last batch of cuttings, I took 3, and started in moss, 2 rooted normally and one dragged along. I put that unrooted prop back into the soil mix when I repotted the whole plant(chunky soil less aroid) and it seemed to pick up growing faster and now has new leaves coming. Wonderful plant, I haven’t seen any pests, though I still preventively, periodically, clean the leaves, just to be safe. Wonderful video as always! Because of you, I have a baby esmeraldense 😁. Along with 200 hundred or so others(not your doing…haha)

i’m really shy about commenting so i’m nervous but could you do a video on a succulent of your choice? :) i always love your videos, it’s nice to have someone who goes more in depth with how the plant behaves + what they need! you have a nice laugh too lol

I purchased cut knots for self-rooting in November 2021. They were still losing their roots, in a propagation box, in warmth, in humidity. I got nervous and in mid-January I put them in a container with water (shielded from the light) And it was SUCCESS! In a month, abundant roots in two months, new growth. They're growing beautiful now, but I have them mixed with pine bark, perlite, pumice and a little compost soil. It's still tiny. Yes, you are right for me too, it grows slowly but I love 10/10 ♥

Lovely to see some UK Hoya content! ❤️ I have to say my polyneura experience is so different. I got it as a two node cutting a year ago and is a beast now! Super quick growing (unlike my Lisa that is in no hurry). Also will give me three branches from one cutting! I've yet to flower it though.

I'm in the states. My Lisa is growing like a weed. I keep it outside so it's getting plenty of humidity

I'm enjoying this series, thank you! I have one of these guys, he arrived as a 4 node plant, posted and intact but pretty unhappy, very yellow which I thought was simple overwatering. I dried him out on a heat plate, and over a few weeks the green returned. So these guys definitely don't cope with being soggy. Over summer (Australia) he grew probably another 3 or 4 nodes, so not too bad at all! :)

Hi, I really love your videos! Could you do a video about raphidophoras in general? They are such great plants but it's difficult to find good info about them, apart from tetrasperma (your review of her was great!). Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us 🙂

Hey. Hope you are well 🤗.Could you please do a video on Philodendron Florida Beauty and variegated peace lilies ( Spathiphyllum, 'Domino' ) ? Thank you !

@Houseplantygoodness 2 года назад
Hey, sadly I don't have the florida beauty, I do have the pedatum if you wanted to see that. The domino is on the list, but only got mine 3 months ago, so the review will probably be in a year for that one 😊

I do like these videos. They're really handy for plants that I've been considering and it's also helpful for plants that I already have, to compare experiences and know if things that I've been wondering about are anything to be concerned about. Would love to see some more Hoya videos and also Aeschynanthus 🙃

@@Houseplantygoodness Dude..... you are missing out on the Aeschynanthus plant. Speciosa is the best bloomer. Black Pagoda is beautiful and the leaves have stripes. I do have the Fishtail. It was on my list. I do LOVE it. Now I'm looking for the variegated. ♥️🪴♥️

I wouldn't mind seeing videos on Aglaonema and Dieffenbachia varieties. I enjoyed your video on your Dieffenbachia Reflector. I'm in the US and have been eyeing this plant for some time. I have not seen it in person but do see cuttings on eBay and Etsy. I think I'm finally going to go for it after seeing this video. Thank you for all your content!🧜‍♂️

Hi. I really enjoy your videos. One question...sort of off topic - what is the plant behind you? the long one with white varigation. Looks great. Cheers from Romania :)

Hi! Thanks for showing your Hoya Poly video! It's inspiring! Can you do Hoya Rangsan next time, if you will. Peace!

I think the plants I am looking for are things like Pilea involucrata 'Norfolk' or Friendship plant, or pilea or peperomia in general, more hoyas (an update of the Hoya 'Sunrise' would be neat!), Ludisia discolor, Iresine Herbistii (Bloodleaf), Persian Shield, and not sure if you have any Echeveria or Aeonium would be cool! I think I have plants indoors that most people don't so it's harder to find care or reviews on them. Or plants with more interesting foliage? Mostly I just like to hear you talk about plants!

Really nice Hoya Pollyneura 💚 Trying too figure out if it likes too be consistently wet or dry? If care is like orchid then I’d say on dry side in soil? 😀
@Houseplantygoodness
@Houseplantygoodness 2 года назад
Yeah on the dry side for sure, but I find mine doesn't like staying dry to too long between waterings, if that makes sense

My polyneura decided it wanted to be passively hydroponic, lol. I had it in a cache po and it was to small so Hoya sat up above it. I needed to get some height on the plant because of other surrounding plants. Well water had gone to the bottom of the cache po. Hoya looked dry and I went to water it. Checked the cache po and it had water in it but the Hoya roots had grown out of the pot and were down in the water happy as could be. I told my Hoya you do you. So I am keeping it this way and it has pushed out over a dozen leaf sets and a new stem with 4 more leaves. I have continued fertilizing and my Hoya never got the winter memo so I am going with it. 😊🪴🌵🍀🌱🍃🌿💚

I have a metric ton of hoya. I don’t have this one; I’m just not into it. That said, did I watch the whole thing? Yes, yes I did. Because hoya and because Houseplantygoodness.
