The Hoyt Invicta 37 SVX has an axle-to-axle length of 37 1/4”, brace height of 7” and IBO rated speed of 330 fps.
As discussed in a prior video, the draw cycle in the Invicta is quite smooth with little to no dump into the valley. But it is a touch on the aggressive side, which is to be expected with the SVX cams.
It’s been an interesting adventure with me and the Invicta so far this year, as this bow has given me more 10s than any other bow, but I’ve had more bad shots with at as well. To put it another way, when I do everything I’m supposed to do, this is an absolute tack driver. But when some part of my form or execution is off, some punishment is doled out in the way of 8s and 7s.
A pleasant surprise for me with the Invicta 37 was the speed. With a 350-grain Gold Tip Platinum Pierce arrow and the draw length set at 30 and 1/8 inches and the draw weight at 60 pounds, I saw an average speed of 298 feet per second. That tells this would make a great unknown 3D bow, as speed is easy to come by.
The bottom line is that the Hoyt Invicta 37 with SVX cams has proven to be a sensational shooter for me when I do my job. It’s not the most forgiving bow when my form isn’t on point, but that problem is tough to blame on anybody but me.
