Tão dócil Hozier 🥰. Amo Todas as músicas, letra fora do comum, é isso que marca a diferença,fora a sua voz magnífica surreal. Bem haja Hozier 🥰🤗. Continue assim 🙏❤️❤️❤️
Interview is cool. What’s strange to me is the complete omission of the racial uprisings that also rocked the world. Hozier although Irish through and through, is HEAVILY influenced but rhythm&blues and Soul. These are Black American traditions. We have been long time listeners of World music Cafe. I am Super disappointed with the line of questioning and the whitewashing of his catalog.. what’s more, the opening track of Wasteland Baby! album is a Spiritual with the iconic Mavis Staples, centering and calling by name the many Black Americans he regards highly. Why not tie in this connection with George Floyd’s murder and what great loss this same community felt? This would have taken no skin off her back, but alas, it is taken off of ours. Very strange, indeed.
To me it seemed very clear where that particular and gorgeous song came from and what it meant to make people feel, how racism is still an issue worldwide, an ongoing issue we seem to struggle with to solve, even if officially laws are equal. As to your comment, I believe this interview aimed to put a spotlight more on his new EP, and how again the world changed after the pandemic, I don't think at all it was intended to some how leave out credits for the suffering that people go through because of inequality, racism. The worldwide protests to support BLM and the struggle for equal rights and the correct execution of equal rights fueled so much wonderful music to make people aware, as it music and art in general should do.
