In this video tutorial, I will guide you how to disassemble the HP 15 TOUCH SMART notebook. google+:plus.google.com/u/0/109491301... twitter: / bibi100106
I would like to personally thank HP for making our lives a little measurable with their state of the fart assembly. I would also like thank Laptop repair for uploading this guide because without it, I would have never guessed how to do this.
True.. mine got repair & i struggle for 4 days repairing it,while local guy(s) scam us & fb guys put different opinion each time.. Brand doesn't matter,as long as scam cheap they do (Chinese made too) its like windows & companies do intentionally as heard 😤 (i didn't update windows too) Only thing they managed to do is "worsening people's lives by making things more worse" than they should be simple, straightforward & honest quality .. Argh .. gotta find one or become one 😌😇😃 02.03.2023 03:19 am ist
Excellent video. Great to see a HP dismantle where the keyboard is separate. I was pulling my hair out as to why I couldn't lift away the top from the lower section... Keyboard has to come out first to reveal more screws and cables. Many thanks.
Watched the video and followed your steps. It works great!! If I can make a suggestion ... showing how to put it back together again would have been even more helpful. I had to keep rewinding the video and watch the steps to ensure I was putting it back together correctly. Thank you for this extremely helpful video!!!!
Although assembly of laptop is quite odd and difficult. But I would like to thank the video creator who shoot step by step very clearly and efficiently. I have figured out my problem at home by just watching this video. Such an amazing guy
Thanks a lot buddy..Ur video was really helped me to remove my hard disk on my own..I searched a lot, but couldn't find for this model. Also, the background music was good that made the video to watch without boring..Continue doing like these videos..
I have HP 150af169nw laptop where the keyboard iz not replaceable. I unscreewed all screws including those under the pads and those hidden behind the battery but I cant go any further. Please help!
Its the only video present in youtube which helped me a lot as tea had spilled on my laptop and i needed to repair it myself becoz of the current situation, cheers to this helpful video
Thanks a lot man. I was able to change my laptop ram on my own all because of you. Keep up the good work dude. And yes it was undoubtedly one of the best diy project of my life
suvansh kesar Did it work for you man ? I’m trying for the second time to put everything together but It doesn’t work anymore 😔😔 Do you have any advices that could help?
@@hamzaarbasi75 man look I will give you one advice. Just rewind the video in loop and watch one part and then pause the video. Make sure you follow the step and then move to next step. Keep following this carefully with cool mind and make sure you don't break anything
What kind of ram does it take? How many Gb of ram can I put on? I see that there are two slots for ram, but the one is empty right? Do you have any link of what ram should I take? I have the same model with the video. Thank you in advance.
@@manosmarin8454 yes, one slot is empty. You can insert RAM upto 6 GB . I am currently using 4 GB ram in my 2nd slot. You can buy any popular RAM available on Flipkart or Amazon. Go for any product with 4+ rating and don't spend too much on RAM.
Sorry, had one hidden screw...anyways I watched and operated on my hp laptop to clean motherboard, fan.. and it helped. Thank you for your step by step procedure
thanks, great video! it was or great help to me, have same model and got my fan working now. jawad ahmed: Grey substance is thermal conductive paste needed only if CPU is disassembled (not necessary if only fan cleaning stage is reached - my case and common case)
Greetings. Could you help me if the bezel of a hp 15-dx037dx is compatible for one of the same model but touchsmart, and where can I buy the spare parts. Thanks.
The keyboard won't come out - area where it "sticks" is under the space key - but it's really stuck and I can't see what is going on - won't move left, right, toward the back, or toward the front - just wiggles a little bit. Any idea what could be stuck together in there? I have the RAM and a SSD to get it working it's best for Fathers' Day - but...you can't get the top off with the keyboard STUCK there!
I wish I watched this video BEFORE I took my laptop apart, I wouldn't have ended up severing the ribbon cable for the touchpad, as well as breaking the ribbon cable off of the power switch. Personally, I'm not a fan of the way HP designed it with a ribbon cable and the power switch mounted to the bezel around the keyboard, rather than mounting the switch to the motherboard in a location where it would have been directly under the power button on the keyboard bezel. My only beef with the video itself is that I would have preferred an actual dialog where you explained the process in your own words, as well as showing it, rather than playing a song on an apparent loop. I do plan to attempt to resolder the switch to its cable, but given how close each pad I have to solder to is, it might be easier said than done; as for the trackpad, I never use them on laptops anyway, I always use a mouse. The good news is that I did manage upgrade the RAM and the hard drive, and managed to test it and everything works, so once I get the switch sorted out, I'll have a fully functional machine for my Linux dabbling.

I’m trying for the second time to put everything together but It doesn’t work anymore 😔😔 Do you have any advices that could help? Please I need my computer back 🙏🙏
nice video , But I want to ask you a question . In my laptop fr2006tu the caps lock indicator is not working , its have one year warrenty , i have lodge a complaint for that they told me that engineer will come to solve the problem , But I want to from you that. 1. no it needs some charge or not? 2. Is they can solve the problem within 1 or two hours? pls reply
a close up view of the ribbon cables would be nice. it took me a bit to figure out that you lift up the little plastic piece - then slide in the blue cable and close the piece onto it. hopefully I did it right?
I personally would like to build my own laptop, but I can’t find the kits for said project. I’ve heard about barebone laptops you can mod but you still can’t change much but ram memory and hard drive and maybe cpu. Desktop computers are easier to build, just can’t afford to build the high end game computer systems😟
Thanks. I didn't catch the part where you need to take out the DVD drive and remove the screws under it. If you don't do that, the top panel won't come off. I'm never buying HP again. I mean a I have to go through all this just to add RAM?
@@Can_38 It's best to open the bottom back of the laptop and use the compressed air. Using it just from where the heat comes out, will only push the dust inside of the laptop.
5:33 man can you tell me how you open that part without scratching it ? I scared to scratch my own laptop using screwdrive. Can I know what you holding there ?
A fan sound was never heard from the Satellite during our tests. The reason for this is that the CPU's cooling is completely passive, and it thus does not sport a fan.
Did it work for you guys ? I’m trying for the second time to put everything together but It doesn’t work anymore 😔😔 Do you have any advices that could help?
@@hamzaarbasi75 what doesn't work? did you connect all the cables. did you use the proper memory? did you make sure the memory was in tight? it should 'click' it says one thing online and another on the crucial site. I don't recall which is which. make sure the memory is plugged in all the way......double check the cables - it's been a while since I did mine so I don't recall all the problems. it's a major pain. that much I do remember. just watch his video - retrace your steps, take your time - and it should work. did it work before you started this process? I just upgraded the memory - I didn't mess with the fan...... this laptop only takes a total of 4 megs memory and they should be the same speed and type. 2 2-2mg sims or 1 4mg.
