basically, geo dmg will increase e and q while hp cup will give you massive buff to survivability, somewhere around 30% more shield strength and buffs to every type of attack with passive talent scaling. Still, I'm glad that I have geo dmg cup since ningguang/ albedo will utilise it.

I’ve tried both hp and geo cups on Zhongli, both versions are 2 petra 2 gladiator. For hp cup version, his atk is 1.4k, full hp 33k, 45% cr 114% cd. His crit q is consistently around 27-28k. While using geo cup, his atk is 1.3k, full hp 28k, 39% cr, 120% cd. But it gives higher crit q dmg, 33-40k. The highest so far is 50k. So, I’m a bit torn whether I want to max his hp to get thicker shield or give more output dmg on his q. I’m decent at dodging attack. Preferably I’d like to have both, so I’m still farming for artis with hp as substat.
with the geo cup, i would say that is a good numbers. also having 28k hp is enough on a tanky shield. dodging is a good thing but if you use keqing or other charged attack focused character, you will be needing a very very tanky shield because of the stamina they eat.

i also did that because im planning to use ningguang in 1.3 because of the geo buff and i got a 5 star book recently. i think she will be a good dps with zhong li

With the buff coming, i would say that i will build him balance, but if you have enough crit rate in the substats or in the weapon (deathmatch or thr BP spear), i would go for 2 HP AND 1 ATK. with a balance crit rate and crit damage on substats
@@zezeyon yep, balancing atk and hp will be good for zhong li, same with albedo balancing def and atk. because your damage still scales on your attack, other stats like hp and def are there for the extra damage or bonuses

i honestly think putting hp or geo cup on zhongli arent that different :> but im gonna go for hp bc i need a tankier shield for director hu !! thank you ! this cleared my mind a lot :')

If I don't have HP cup and Geo cup but increase his HP. Will it still works like having a HP Cup equipped for almost the same results of damage and stronger shield ?
How do you increase his HP? Through weapon? Other artifact slot? The effect of not using HP goblet is that you will miss out on other aspect such as weapon effects and sub stats or if you are planning for HP circlet, you are losing crit values. But if you don't care about his damage, you can just typically put 3 hp and black tassel for maximum HP build
All I got is mask of Solitude Basalt circled of logos artifact 4 star increase his HP% up to 15.2% combine with other artifact Flower of Life HP which has 2,108 to gain 15% Geo damage Bonus together That's also a 4 star. This is the closes I have artifacts. But two other artifacts have percentages of HP and one has attack increase. If this is ok? Let me know ? If not? Let me know which artifacts on a 3 star is best and four star artifacts is those two I got as for right now. Unless maybe a 3 star artifacts will be consider for those two? Let me know ? And Thanks! For me it was easier to build a Zhongli (c6) HP Build, now he has 54k HP and Skill lv 13, it's my Best Protector ever ! xD and i don't regret it, coz there are so many other DPS units out there btw the Artefacts are random, no set effect, only best HP stats as possible + the 3* weapon with HP, but honestly, i would like to exchange it to another HP Polearm, but our lovely Mihoyo - Mohoverse whatever, is still a noob company, who can't deliever the real stuff we need....
It's the bonus damage coming from his talent passive. I call it flat dmaage bonus because, it have a different calculation because it use hp instead of attack.
Goblets are already known to have shitty sub stats so getting hp and hp% on them is easy. Try to get crit rate to that as well and boom. You have all you need.
Hmm considering the difference is only 2k it is neglible, tankier shield is always better specially in abyss, I always recommend going with whichever cup let's you build the highest dmg/crit ratio given all other substats in the rest of the artifacts
On set HP goblet that's got both Crit and flat HP.. Yeah, I'm not giving that up. Roll wise, it's got 21 Crit Dmg and 2.7 Rate at level 16. But, he'll have Deathmatch.

I had 169% crit damage and 48% crit chance an I was dealing 76k crit on my ult but I hate how it rarely crits so I sarificed some of the crit damage to increase my crit chance. Now I my crit damage is 155% and my crit chance is 56%. Yeah it's not that much of an increase on the crit rate since the upgrade it went twice to energy recharge and 1 time on atk%. I am fine with it I also need Energy recharge coz I find it hard to recharge my energy to even utilize my ult. What I have realized is Crit damage is useless if you have low crit rate and low energy recharge. I am aiming for a more spammable ult now. It's better to deal 70k twice in a minute than 79k once in a minute.
@@yoshimotono due to zhong li new talent adjustments, HP % cup and HP % time piece seems to benefit zhongli more. Geo Dmg cup only benefits ulti , doesn’t seems attractive anymore. So Hp % made zhongli become semi attker and semi burst . Preferred artifact noblesse + petra cause bloodstain too one- sided , if you use bloodstain for sure increase dmg for normal attk but neglected (Q) since zhong li elemental burst is geo dmg which physical dmg doesn’t have any benefit on it. So in order to have a balance on it , noblesse + petra best for a semi -attk and burst playing style. Just my personal opinion

I'm running hp circlet hp sands geo dmg goblet. And he keeps 40k HP with 51 crit rate to 160 crit dmg (blackcliff spear) trust me you don't need the hp goblet. You would only ever need it if your dps is too weak or if you can't afford dodging high dmg enemy attacks. 40k hp with a crowned E tanks more than enough.
Wooow this is helpful! I may consider looking for a decent HP% cup for him one day but I don’t think I ever had any viable ones, but I had really good geo dmg cups
@@yoshimotono yes! Zhongli is doing just fine for the time being, his pieces came home easily whereas Xiao……. So for now I will spend resin on everyone else and one day I can get Zhongli a beautiful hp% goblet haha.
My zhongli has about 37k HP with geo bonus cup. He reaches about 62k ulti dmg tho.. I'm practically impenetrable now, so I guess I don't have to switch to HP% cup. I like the big pp damage
@@kyousuke8793 I have 2 pc noblesse and 2pc Petra sets. I always prioritized HP% and HP. I have geo bonus cup and crit rate crown. I dun wanna discourage u but I do have a staff of homa. It helps boost his HP by 20%
@@kyousuke8793 congrats! I was so hyped when I reached his 50k dmg for the first time. I also just upgraded his ulti talent to lvl 9. He now naturally gets 80-102k burst damage @-@ he's fun. I wonder howd it look like when I max it out
for circlet, is it worth it to go for cri rate if you're only aiming for 50% crit rate? i'm concern that it won't benefit that much on his elemental burst planet befall because it only hits once..
if you lack on crit rate sure, go ahead ang pick crit rate. tho my build have a god stats because i have so many good hp artifacts. but if you lack of crit rate go ahead, that is more important than having extra damage
