This is a quick tutorial on how to get inside the printer glass to replace scanner or to clean the area.
Use Torx Screw size #10 screwdriver or tip.

This was excellent!! I am a 63 year old woman and I did NOT want to have to buy a new printer! I was able to get the part on Ebay and used this video to fix the printer myself and it worked!!! Thank you so much!!!

Can the glass be replaced? My new HP printer wasn't opened until recently. I bought it in July but my house was being renovated. Found the glass broken into many pieces. Walmart will not take it back after 90 days.

water got spilled on my hp officejet pro 7740 printer, now there is condensation on the inside bottom of the glass. how can I access it, please

That may not be an easy task, but it is doable. You will need a Torque size 10 (T10) star shaped screwdriver tip and Lift the top and remove all scres on the bottom of the housing that holds the scanenr modeule. Then unclamp all tabs on the perimeter and you should be able to lift glass. Do not force open anything as you may break the glass.

@@303electronics thanks for the fast reply. I am not confident in taking it apart. Had a friend look at it, with no luck. The printer works fine when printing from the computer, but of course where the condensation is, when I scan, the print is all blurry. I am wondering, since water got thru the edges of the glass would air get thru as well. I could use my hair dryer on cool, or set up a fan, or I had another thought. What about putting a heating pad on the glass, on very very low. Would that help dry it out, or should I just wait and let time do its thing. Hp won't help me, can't find any other help, other than you and I so appreciate it. Lu
