Very helpful and useful. I was able to connect. Hp smart didn't show confirmation but it eventually connected and now it's working

Don't buy HP printers - their wireless connectivity is tragic. The software is incomprehensible. Connection is successful on the tenth try, but then the connection often drops out. The HP system is degraded.

Absolute nightmare setup,won’t connect to WiFi,cannot fit ink cartridges,no matter what and terrible app. I feel like throwing it out of the window. It’s junk,don’t buy (DeskJet2800e)

I held down the x and wifi button till the power button started flashing and when the hp smart app said it couldn't find it , it said to click to search an alternate way and it looked up the wifi signal from the printer and connected it. No password required
