My experience with this printer is that the ink dries up too quickly. I’d say if I didn’t use it in a months span or more in a slightly cooler basement the printer tells me I need to replace both cartridges
HP says this is not compatible all of a sudden. Have been using this for years and all of a sudden “offline “. Tests say it is not offline. Thank you so very much- you are awesome
Have you tried searching for the latest update for the printer? You can find this on the settings tab in the printer’s menu. If that doesn’t work, I recommend performing a reset to factory settings on the printer. This can also be done using the printer’s screen

Well thank you very much. All the years I have owned this printer and haven't printed any photos as I was worried about how to print 4X6 pictures and how to load the photo paper!!! I feel like such an idiot now. Thank you for showing me that the paper feed tray pulls right out and adjusts to hold my photo paper. I really am happy about this. I've had a project to do for the past 3 years and have kept putting it off. Thank you very much for the review. I am delighted now.
please.... photo printing...i know how to insert photo paper but nowhere can i find where to position the photo if its say 6 x 4 size. would appreciate your help ?
I have the HP Officejet 4500 printer and it's the older one and it takes the ink of 901. When I do a search this printer comes up and says it takes the same type of ink. But in the video it's a different number of ink? Why does it say it takes 901?

Can you explain multiple page scanning? I have tried everything and cannot figure this out. I do not see a + sign or option to print additional page. Thanks.
+Paula Judd Yes, use the HP Scan software. Scan the first page. Then click the little plus sign on the bottom. Then scan the next page and similarly for the page after that. Then export all the pages to one pdf.
Help please! I have the same printer. I inserted the 61 xl black it kept saying it is not compatible. I don't know what to do because I've been told it is the right cartridge for the printer. I'm stuck with it

how do you reduce or enlarge on this printer? I've had this for about a year now and in the beginning it printed the actual size of the document, now it prints everything so much smaller than actual size.
+dayna georgakopoulos What page size are you using to print. This is not something you can adjust on the printer. When you print on your computer make sure to select the correct paper size. In This case, you need to select either A4 or Letter.
I'm not sure how to reset everything to default. but when I print a test page it prints normal, it's only when I print from my computer. I've tried changing the paper to A4 and Letter and still nothing.
I was gifted this printer about 10 years ago. I saw the big size of it & thought its too big to prop anywhere near my PC etc. While moving I saw "Wireless" on the box!! YES.. I wish I saw that 10 years ago. Question, will this 10 year printer work with Windows 10 now?
Mark Warren if you have a printer with a paper feeder put the page in and once your first one is gone in the paper feeder, put your other pages in one by one. Hope this was helpful.
can anyone tell me how to two side print my greeting cards? it doesn't feed half way through the printing and on most cards it reverses the two inside pages and I have wasted so much card stock and ink its not right. I cant seem to find out any info. on the help info for the printer itself and no help on the online hp help. someone please direct me to a helpful video or site.
Wow! Thank you, finally somebody answered and I had given up. I threw my hands up and said forget it and I haven't touched it since October last year. I had struggled with that for Month's I would draw a diagram and then the next time I would do it again it would be different each time. It was just an agonizing attempt is all I can call it. I thank you and I will try your suggestions
