Budget laptops are usually gaudy cheap and look like a Hotwheels toy. The Omen 15T or Omen 15Z for Ryzen variants bring a premium design to an affordable laptop. After spending two months with the laptop and doing an uncountable number of things on it I finally give my fist laptop review for my channel
As always if you have any questions feel free to ask down below I do check the comments on my videos regularly.

Really spot on review, I just pick this SAME model up about 3 days ago and love It. But that's not why I decided to comment, I've seen a lotta reviews but this was one of the better ones. I can see you going far if you keep this up

Do reduce the gain of the audio so as to hide the sound of the clothes rubbing against each other. Also a subtle background music would do good to engage the viewer. Investing in a shotgun mike is gonna be worth it.

Nice video bro! Try adding some chill background music throughout the video to add a relaxing vibe. Also cut down some background noises. but other than that, I enjoyed!

Thanks for the review MkJr Is the bottom panel metal ? What's the brightness levels, response time & sRGB you are getting ? Would you prefer the Ryzen 7 RTX 2060 144 Hz ( if it releases in the US for Black Friday ) over this 300 Hz Intel i7? Finally, what's the best price for this spec ? I think it was 1250$ at Best Buy some time ago. Plus maybe another 100$ student offer ?
@MkJrTech
@MkJrTech 3 года назад
Sorry for late reply, brightness is 300nits and response time I couldn't find in spec sheet. Nor have the tool to measure. The bottom deck top and bottom is metal the top lid is metal and plastic all is painted all around. I'd recommend the Ryzen model for sure not too crazy of difference but I use ryzen on my tower and love what AMD has done. For the price blackfriday may have it down to around 1250 again and the $100 student discount at Bestbuy is awesome but besides Black Friday or after holiday season I don't think it's going to be on sale till summer when newer specs hit the shelfs for laptops.

Good question and glad you like the videos first off. When it comes to things I review I bought all but the xiaomi (borrowed from girlfriend). I do sell some of the stuff I just don't like on ebay or Facebook but thats only been earbuds and a tablet so far. So everything you see is bought from me and I won't ever get something free to review unless I'm way bigger. (So never or maybe 2 years from now. If/when that does happen I will mention it)

I bought the 4k version(ek0023dx) with 16gb of ram, 1tb of SSD, RTX 2070 MAX Q. This laptop is very powerful, the screen is very bright with good color accuracy. I bought it for Photography and videography. Hp did a good job. I will recommend this laptop anytime 🙋

Hey, thanks for a cool review. I wanna know about one thing here. How's the screen flex / wobble? Many are saying it wobbles a lot and I'm concerend about it. Is it a deal breaker?
@MkJrTech
@MkJrTech 3 года назад
So for screen flex, pushing on end one way and the other the opposite im getting less than a centimeter of flex. For wobble when I first open it it wobbles just a second then it locks in place. The wobble is mainly from the strong hing and it doesn't wobble if you move it if its weighted down on a flat surface. So it has some because metal was used sparingly but it isn't particularly weak compared to its closest competitors or any non thin and light laptop you can play with at a best buy. 😄

How is this laptop with adobe after effects? pls reply I'm thinking of buying one
@MkJrTech
@MkJrTech 3 года назад
So I've been avoiding too much after effects because of, well, video reasons and time. But when I've messed with it its been great, mainly because of the beefy specs. With 4k files and pre-composed sections (using old logo of mine that was over the top for this) its very smooth u til about like 12 precompiled things in. Then playback isn't real time, now thats not any of the computers build quality issue other than ram. For Adobe after effects and premiere pro GPU and processor are important, sure. But its the ssd and the ram that really effect playback and the responsiveness of adobe stuff. So the omen comes with a m.2 ssd (perfect for adobe due to speed) and 16gb of ram, which is really darn good. But if your looking at A teir after effects projects I'd upgrade to 32gb of ram. You can upgrade from omen itself OR upgrade itself later. But that'll be your only bottle neck really, rendering and stuff like that is just as good as my desktop. (My desktop is a gtx1660 though) which for a laptop is good for its thermal envelope. Hope that helps 😃

hello, no gaming, no editing video, no autocad.. i will use web browsing, youtube.. and two financial program that needs H series power and multiple intel core power. .. i concern about omen 2020 fan noise.. my programs do not need so much CPU power like gaming. but in daily use omen 2020 has fan noise? thank you.
@MkJrTech
@MkJrTech 3 года назад
So for fan noise for normal use is fairly identical to non-gaming laptops, the pitch is a little lower than the asus zenbook (2018) from my experiance. But it is there, other gaming laptops like an ROG zephrus I used to have was a wind turbine. I would say fan noise is normal and a little bit of a lower hum because of the bigger fans versus a normal non-gaming laptop. There are fan-less offerings from apple and Microsoft that may fit your needs, specifically surface line but idk if tdp for the chip is enough for what you need.

Iam a interior designer (3D modelling and visual rendering animation) i choose and bought HP Omen dh1050nr (2020) Specs : - i7 10750H - RTX 2060 6gb - RAM 16gb Different between Intel n AMD on this laptop : - With Intel we can use external VGA because of the Thunderbolt port, but AMD version doesnt have it. - Intel (12 thread, 6 core), AMD (16 thread, 8core) - Thermal system, AMD more less heat than Intel What made me choose this model with intel because : - In my job for 3D design especially rendering, i use GPU rendering (vga) which means that doesn't need more core for render - I can use the thunderbolt port for external vga if i need more powerfull vga for render engine for more realistic view or video rendering ( i use Enscape n Vray, enscape n vray use GPU for render) - Thermal heat issue, i usually use cooling pad n set the max fan in performance control I bought this just based on my need..

@@rrch2951 So sorry late reply.......My laptop works very well until now......there is no issue.....my daily use : I use Sketchup for 3D design with Enscape for the Real time render.....when just for 3D modelling i set the performance to default with normal fan (auto) in Omen hub and i use cooling pad with fan,..when works with 3D modelling + Enscape...i set the performance sometimes default or high but keep set the fan to max also use cooling pad fan and it will reduce the heat. Based on my experience, this laptop very worth to buy....but dont forget to turn off your laptop and make it idle every 4-5hours...it to eliminate or reduce the risk.
