Just got mine yesterday after seeing the thermal performance in this video. Loving it so far. Only thing I don't like is the "sharp" front bevel, but I'm quickly getting used to it. Mine has a tiny amount of backlight bleed. Thermals are beautiful. Got it on sale well within my budget. I bought the 8 GB RAM model and I'm quickly ripping that out to go with 32 GB instead to make it into an affordable workstation. This is my first laptop since 2012 and it's a massive upgrade. Thanks for the review!

I had to take a file to the very corner bits to smooth them out a little, but that edge doesn't really bother me much either. I got mine for under $1000 and I think its a tremendous deal. (and yeah, 32 gb of ram isn't too expensive, especially if the omen was on sale, so getting some REALLY fast ram is a solid idea)

Amazing review as always. But a few questions? Isn’t the screen on the RP-15 better than the Omen 15 in terms of color accuracy or does the diffrence not matter ? And is the response time a clear difference or would I notice it? Because I am planning to buy a laptop for gaming and color editing(video and photo).

Finally the perfect ryzen gaming laptop with good battery life, good screen, good keyboard, good pricing, good everything. Every other ryzen gaming notebooks have atleast 1-2 defects which is a deal breaker. Finally a good work by hp! Also your review is the best jarrod, was just waiting for your review.

Legion 5P is a good alternative choice also. Only deal breaker is all plastic build (quality plastic), warm keyboard temp under load and the weight (2.4kg)

Just got this laptop and kinda new to the PC gaming scene. Still learning terminology (eg. Display port, thunderbolt 3, etc) so kinda need a little help. From the information (possible misinformation or I didn't understand it properly) having a computer with G-Sync or Free-Sync capability and connecting to same compatible external monitor helps with refresh rate. Since you said this doesn't have an output on either, what kind of external monitor should I be looking for? I don't mean exactly which brand and model but aside from getting something with the same 144hz or higher, what I/O should the monitor have or does it matter?

I just got the RTX 2060 version and I must say it's pretty awesome. Solid construction (despite the screen), looks discreet without all the lights and aggressive look of gaming laptops. I feel comfortable to use it anywhere. High performance. Strongly recommend

So jarrod, I just got bought a a15 with rtx 2060 and ryzen 7 4800h for cyber Monday but I was gonna use it with hdmi to my tv. Is it good for that? Is that the best way to combat the shitty screen? Cause I always game with a monitor. Would you still suggest the Lenovo legion? I was just gonna send it back before the 30 day return expires to exchange for other computers but i just haven’t been able to decide what to get altogether.

Where I have to mess with the graphics massively for it to even run the game at playable rates. And when I say playable rates I don't mean 60 fps. I called 20-30 fps playable. You can only guess how low my standards are xD

Do you think MSI Alpha 15 with ryzen 4800H and RX 5600M would be a good laptop to wait? It's not yet have any launch date but seem to be found in the MSI and xoticpc website. Hopefully it'll have better cooling solution than G5 SE. Do you think you can get your hand on it to review?

You are the benchmark king! Also your B-Roll is great too :) If you get the chance, can you show us how to safely use Ryzen Controller to increase limits? I have the RP-15 I don't think the wattage of the CPU is changing

Got mine about 3 weeks back and it's lovely to see all these positive reviews popping up everywhere. Got mine with 8gb ram and 512gb ssd for £1100... Already upgraded ram to 20gb though

I just want know one thing is this laptop good for content creation software because in my research to buy a laptop content creation most of the user say amd ryzen chip is not compatible for adobe softwares and they have some issue so enlighten me with your thoughts

Hi @jarrod I need suggestion I am buying hp pavillion i7 9th gen , but it has only 60hz refresh rate will it affect games like cyberpunk , or will it be giving lagging experience . While playing any game .

question: what is the diffirence between the one that comes with right numbers panel and the one without? Does the keyboard get bigger or the 9 get smaller ? Does it affect the laptop's performance and battery life or not ?

Hi bro, in sd card slot below that in chassis got curved like u shape lightly or straight? I have in mine not sure if it is actual design, can you keep finger below sd card slot and check 🤔
