something seems to be off in the power settings you should get around 11-12k in Cinebench r23 at max performance mode plugged in

Got this last week - really quite impressive specs for the price. Only thing that bugs me is the keyboard adding the extra column on the right - just messes with my muscle memory!

For me it was a selling point. I like to use the home and page end keys while typing. Putting it under fn makes it practically unusable.

Yeah I can see the benefit, just coming from a MBA it is frustrating! I'll get used to it though. I'd say the keyboard / trackpad aren't the best but with the rest of the spec it's just unbeatable at the price (£599 after trading in an old unused laptop) for OLED 120hz, latest zen 4, fast 1tb SSD. I wish it had 32gb and TB4 but at that price I can't complain at all

Just wondering, dont you have issues with the audio driver? Yesterday I ran the windows update and it killed the audio. Says no device available.

Hi Andrew, I am interested about buying the laptop, the only thing that bugs me is the PWM flickering of the OLED screens. Have you experienced any eye strain using it, how is it?

I am not sensitive to PWM but some people are. I detected PWM at 30% screen brightness or below in my testing.

how does it compare to the envy? this has better screen , envy better glass on the screen. They are both full metal chassis, similar processor and RAM. What are the other differences?

Hey hello i have the same one but blue. After rest/new the audio works but after running windows update it installs a realtek driver and the sound doesn't work. Issues with the windows audio service. And the os says no audio device installed. Can anyone confirm this? Any solution? (Did a bit of google home work already. Reinstalled win11 already 3x!!!!

Solution is found. A Logitech webcam causes the error of 'no audio device' when plugged in (directly) Though other laptops didn't had this issue. it's ok for now I changed the Logitech c925e for a Microsoft webcam and then the issue doesn't manifest .

I don't think I can ever buy another HP product past what I currently own. Between the nefarious instant ink nonsense with their printers and the nose dive of quality that I personally have experienced with their products aross he board. I think they're going the way of every other large corporation and providing products with no regards for quality or customer experience. @Flannieboy Fuck really, for me 32 GB would be perfect and iGPU 780m is enough since I need to video editing and not gaming. Mostly coding. US doesn't have nice stuff as before
