i'm obsessed with mine. I was able to get it for £400 / 460 euros in the black friday sales. The only problem i have with it is the sound. Sometimes i find that even on full volume, it's not loud enough. But the problem is instantly solved when plugging in headphones. This laptop is a tablet and laptop in 1, and feels luxury considering i only paid £400 for it, i call that a win.
Got mine off of an auction on ebay for $200, I do light photoshop and video editing and this gets the job done while still getting me through the day for other tasks like streaming
Ive had a Hp Pavillion 360 for 6 years now and yet i only started having problems with for a year and half ago after i dropped it and dislodged the charging port so it doesn't charge or stay charge if i do get to 100% dead in like 30 minutes, but outside of the charging problems, i dont actually have any issues with it, which is a huge disappointment when compared to newer models, i keep hearing all the issues everyone are having with their Pavillions or just newer laptops in general and i am baffled that the problems mainly stem from how they took certain mechanisms out that i see are extremely helpful in mine. Like how can mine look better in comparison. Im still looking for a repaire shop that would fix the charger port but they're all charging me $1000+ for it when i could get a new one for much less. Getting the physical charger port fixed wont automatically fix the charging issue the battery drainage cuz thats gonna happen with all electronics eventually but i no longer want to jiggle the charger until it finds the port to connect it and pray that i dont accidentally shift it where it wont charge until i jiggle it in place again.
Laptops are getting crappy with the exception of processors. You would think removing the optical CD drive would make space for bigger card reader and other stuff but this isn't the case. I still want a CD drive.
truth is i actually don't mind the keyboard it's pretty good i thought the screen was not bad its pretty good and he got like the lowest end one btw i got the one ddr 16 gigs and it has and i7
Ive had an HP Pavilion for few years now, all I can tell you is that if you let it sit in sleep mode for too many days, it will be easier to wake up an old Egyptian mummy.....and if you do it wont run properly for awhile. And it wont update while its asleep, it will only do it after you wake it up and really need to use it.....then it can be another 30-45 minutes. I hope the newer ones have worked out these "idiosyncrasies".....
It happens to every windows laptop bro. Sleep function is really wonky on windows, hibernate is the way to go or better yet just turn it off when you’re done.
Not everyone is a professional photographer. Most non professional video cameras use micro sd instead of standard sd card. And a professional photographer won’t buy this laptop😂
Awesome review! I also wanted to ask if, since I'm not buying it from Amazon but from a local store, could the new HP Pen that is rechargeable with a USB-C port work with this computer? Thanks! 👍🏼
Got an Envy X360 15in with the same i5, 16GB, 512GB ssd and the upgraded 400 nits display for $710 after my student discount. so excited for it to arrive!
@@skziblestill waiting for it to arrive, i got an open box one from Best Buy 3 weeks ago but there was a massive gap in the frame so I returned and just decided to go brand new instead. Will let ya know!
@@skziblejust got it yesterday and so far its amazing! My only two minor complaints are that the trackpad isnt glass but after some use youll get used to it, and that the space key on the keyboard isnt very stabalized so when i hit it with my left thumb i have to use slightly more force. Screen, cpu, and pen are all good and its pretty quiet my only suggestions are get the 400 nit screen and 16GB ram upgrades, theyll make the laptop experience a lot better
Pavilion is a mid-range machine, the envy is a premium tier machine. They compete in different sub categories. Key differences include build material (plastic vs full metal) and available specifications.
Hey, pretty sure this is the laptop i have, and my battery is awful, like 2-3 hrs maximum, maybe less. and all i do is school (college) and i dont run any programs, just the website i do school on (canvas) im a bio major, so dont have to use any large applications... any recommendations?
I had bad luck with a previous version of this laptop. The keyboard suddently damaged with no reason and I tried to use the warranty period but they told me the laptop had insects that damaged the keyboard and warranty did not cover that... So I decided to fix it by myself purchasing another keyboard and a cousin installed it and it was OK for 3 or 4 months until it stopped functioning again... What a waste of money buying that laptop
just purchased one for my daughter and was wondering if the type c port on the side can be used for charging the laptop as well. Kinda disappointed for it does not seem to have many of the features that were discussed in the video
The C port on the side is not mean to charge your laptop, it’s actually there for chargers that have 2 C port in each ends. When a bought a phone, they gave me a charger with 2 C port head, so I connected it to my laptop. Sorry for English btw, it’s not my mother tongue.
what should i get? ($AUD) - Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5i 14" WUXGA 2-in-1 Laptop (512GB)[Intel i7] 512SSD 16GB $1,699 - HP Pavilion X360 14" FHD 2-in-1 Laptop (512GB) [12th Gen Intel i7] 512SSD 16GB $1,799 OR - 13-inch MacBook Air with M2 chip - Space Grey (from the education store) 256SSD 8GB $1,649 or $1,799
hey there, I have recently bought this laptop, but as you said the keyboard is "BACKLITE" but for the life of me i can't find that option to turn it on ... where is it?? Please and thank you :)
Came here to find out if the touchscreen can be a problem as the device ages? I was looking for a laptop with no ts and they are hard to find. Was going to get this exact one and just not use the ts.
when i was deciding...the asus got a bit hot (after 10 mins in the store), the keyboard backlight looked uneven & they only had a shitty dark blue available. so i chose the hp x360...not as good battery life, but happy with everything else (silver, stays cool, looks awesome). 99% of the time, the asus is superior, but this time i went for aesthetics. plus, the vivobook is equivalent to the pavilion...the zenbook (wow, awesome) is equivalent to the envy. but both pricier. next year i can consider the spectre x360 vs zenbook flip...who will have a white or silver model by then? ha ha 🙏🏽 oh...& don't go 16" or 15.6"...try the 14" or 13.3" models...unless you have poor eyesight or really need a numpad. & mine has a fingerprint scanner... i don't trust 'hello'...at all. 👎🏽
Have you tried video editing or light gaming on that laptop? I'm considering buying the same version but I'm scared that it will lag or heat up too much. I would appreciate it if you could give me some insight :)
@@hummingbird1375 yea i got u, look for gaming it overheat a lot but it runa fortnite, genshin impact, rocket league and valorant without problems but in apex legends its too laged
@@hummingbird1375 in editing idk i think theres gonna be no problem cause its fast but another bad point is that the battery can last like 3 hours idk it last very little
Review to slow I switched off at 5.45 .I want to know how long it last. how it preforms. Value for money. any faults consider putting it up. Key points. Also the ideal length of video is 3 to 5mins.
The envy is a more premium variant of the x360 series. It depends on your budget, I would imagine unless there is a sale this is the more budget friendly option. If money is not an issue the envy usually comes with superior build quality and display specs.

@@TeunLosmine is slow with everything starting up loading stuff I was wondering how to make it faster it’s specs are 8gb ram Windows 10 Intel core i3-7100 CPU @ 2.40GHz
