I've found the best tool for cleaning fans in computers, as well as the vents in laptops is a pipe cleaner... Often found in Arts and Craft shops .. these fuzzy wonders just get to places brushes cannot. Seriously, an excellent tool. Nice video. Very methodical (the only way TBH).

Hi! Sorry for asking 5 years later but i was wondering how you managed to upgrade to i7-3740qm. I have the same laptop and I wanted to upgrade to i7-3632qm which i thought was the limit, because there's a website (which you can find if you type "hp 4740s cpu upgrade") that shows a list of all compatible cpu's but seeing you upgrading it higher left me wondering if it's worth upgrading to i7-3740qm or i7-3632qm. I know that 3740qm Thermal Design Power is 45 watts and 3632qm is only 35 watts. Will it be dangerous and if not then can you upgrade the cpu even higher? And how to upgrade cpu in Probook 4740s?
my laptop doesn't work anymore because of the fan. i wish i found this video before it works no more. than it would be much easier to clean the fan and open the laptop and closed it again. i had no manual and needed the half day. thank you so much, i've learned a lot and next time i can do it much better. greetings from switzerland
Здравствуйте. Ноутбук HP 4730s (меню биос как на 4740), произошёл полный разряд АБ. Батарея стала в защиту и ноутбук её перестал определять. Imax b6 я её отбалансировал, зарядил, программатором и программой be2works снял АБ с блокировки. Но получилась такая ситуация ноутбук в нормальном режиме работы АБ видит и показывает заряд 96% доступна (подключена,заряжается), значение показаний заряда АБ со временем не изменяется, Aida 64 тоже её полностью определяет. Питание происходит только от адаптера. При отключении разъёма адаптера ноутбук отключается. В безопасном режиме ноутбук АБ вообще не видит,Aida 64 пишет что батареи нет Подскажите в биосе HP 4730s есть функция вкл/откл АБ, если есть где её найти? Если сталкивались с такой проблемой дайте пожалуйста совет какой можно найти выход? Заранее благодарен, С уважением, Александр
ну отключения\включения АБ в биосе думаю нет, я по крайней мере такого никогда не встречал. А проблема думаю все еще в контрелере батареи, по крайней мере если эдементы все живые и точно заряжены. С программированием контролеров к сожадению не сталкивался,, поэтому тут советом к сожалению не помогу.
Greetings. When i remove the battery and after that the second part that is removed wont open on my laptop. I keep pressing those two buttons but it wont open. What could be the problem for that and is there a way to fix it?
ну я пользуюсь КПТ-19, можно конечно и КПТ-8 она в теории хуже не будет, но по моему теплопроводимость обеспечивает ниже. Из более эффективных могу посоветовать Zalman ZM-STG2, но она и подороже будет.
