Not trying to be rude or anything but Dazai is his last name and Osamu is his first name; it’s just that last names are said before first names in Japanese, and are used by those with more personal connections (from what I know)
RIGHT, but this is set in Britan Where they’d say ‘Mr Dazai’ or just Osamu (I’d know, I’m British) (edit) like how Snape would say ‘Mr Malloy or Mr Potter’ to Harry and Draco instead of their names
@@Eni-GxchaThey do that in Japan as well! The reason why Atsushi always calls Dazai "太宰府さん" and Dazai doesn't call Atsushi "中島さん" is because Atsushi is of a lower rank than him. It's like with teachers, you wouldn't call your teachers by their first name, but they can call you by your first name or last name. It's also why everyone in the agency calls Fukuzawa by his last name. (He has the highest rank within the agency)
this video, by far, was really good!! i didn't see any mischaracterization tbh, although you don't shipp Soukoku, to not include videos of them could be bad if you want the characters to know Dazai. Even if they aren't a couple, both of them helped in the development of eachother (for example, Chuuya giving Dazai another perspective of life and how to live, and Dazai with Chuuya's own perception of his humanity). Of course, if you don't want to include videos of them i won't obligate you, it's YOUR video after all, lolol.
I highly recommend touching on Dazai's fear of dogs, which is extremely relevant at the age he is here. I recommend looking up St Bernads Dazai and watching the animation so you know what it is.

Hey i know I'm pretty late to comment on this video but as far as I've seen you're reaction is pretty canon to the whole series (m&m) and i kinda like it since you still made Dazai pretty vulnerable since he was a child at that time and that he can't always process the abuse he gets as good as he does when he is 15 (even though it's still hard to endure, what I'm trying to say is that it humanizes Dazai a bit, like the whole fanfic is trying to do so it's not mischaracterising) :D also, i absolutely love your OC's !

I'd recommend some of SakiSayakas videos! :D For example "Let's d!e together in Kurashiki" or "Hyperventilation Dance" (although all of their videos are really good haha). Other than that, I think it'd be nice to see the Abuse Cycle in more detail. I've noticed that recently a lot of creators suddenly decided to skip over it fairly quickly.
