YES! i agree! hp laptops are shit now the last good ones were probably made in 2010 anything newer is shit! this is exacty why 3 of my 4 laptops are at least 10 years old i got two macbooks a 2013 pro 13" n a 2014 11" air and the other good laptop is a dell inspiron 17r 5720.. as for my other laptop is a acer spin 5 2020 it works good but the keyboard backlight died and i ripped a key off while cleaning it which i put electrical tape on... i got the acer for the equivilant of 50$ from a friend because he really wanted this motorola phone that i had so i traded... i really need to get a keyboard for it but i aint payin a ungodly amount of $$ to do it when the keyboard is 20$ off amazon..

Oh I hate this so much! I have work to do on my hp envy x 360 laptop. The hinge broke for the 2nd time after I had it repaired under an extended warranty. Why the 🤬isn't HP doing anything to help the customers who bought this faulty product?!

I heard that Lenovo laptops have good durability. I had just gotten a 2 in 1 lenovo with these hinges for college. I hope I won't have problems 🤞🤞

I have an Envy 360, no hinge issues. But I don't beat my laptop up either. Usually when I see a repair like this it's because someone closed something inside the lid. Also this is pretty much every laptop on the market right now. Cheap plastic. An easy inexpensive way to stop it from breaking further if it has started to Crack is open the bottom and put superglue or JB weld around the hinge nuts and reassemble let the glue or JB weld dry before use. Also, it doesn't help that these laptops get stupid hot around the hinge area due to the undersized cooling. I hope you also cleaned the heatsink and fans and repasted the CPU while in there.

Yeah definitely need to be careful but HP needs to design something not so fragile at the same time

Fixed stuff using RU-vid and a screwdriver. Started doing it for family, then friends, then worked for a shop, then opened my own.

I just don't understand what's going on over there. It's a shame too because other than the hinges (and sometimes overheating) these higher end HP's are amazing and really easy to work on.
