this is one of the best reviews i've ever seen, and for the laptop, it doesn't look to gamery, which is exactly what i want, as i need something that can do both school and gaming while not being to distracting.
just got this 2 days ago for 500usd and now its already 800usd....was a steal for 500 because with a 16gb ram stick it was still all under 600usd including tax and shipping.
Best deal on BestBuy with one disadvantage. It has "only" ONE storage slot which is Gen4 Nvme M.2 slot. It has space for 2nd NVME M.2 but no socket, and even it has much space next to battery, it doesn't have SATA port to add 2nd storage drive. Joke. But the price is awesome. Note: I had a bunch of bad pixels on screen. So the QC is really bad, beware.
Thanks for the review, i will be picking this up next year for some basic work-for-home stuff, i want to replace my old laptop, but don't want to break the bank, will be going with this.
bro, if i wanna upgrade the ssd what is the maximum storage supported for this exact model? and if i put in gen 4 nvme m.2 can i have the same read/write speed as before?
I am only going to use this for Photo & Video editing. (APSC RAW) and videos upto SLOG 3 4k 30fps.(camera limitation). Gonna use Lightroom, PS and Da Vinci Resolve. Will this laptop serve my purpose witho any issues? I might do mild gaming...if i am in the mood!.
Just want to ask, can it run Linux. Because I heard from another video that it can't run well. Hoping to gift this to my brother who's about to start his first year in computer science, apparently Linux is important to his course.
Sooo quick question for anyone who has bought a laptop with this CPU, ¿how good are the thermals? im looking into the new lenovo idepad gaming models which comes with this CPU and very similar specs-wise, but im a bit worried about the CPU getting hot. I owned a laptop with a Ryzen 7 5800H + RTX 3050 and boy that CPU liked to get HOT, had to undervolt it to get to normal temps (50C°-65C°) while playing games.
it never really gets hot, sometimes warm but never hot unless its on gaming mode, running like 3 games, 10 google tabs and another app. With fortnite, youtube and spotify open id say it runs 60 ° f
I have the pretty same model (Victus 15-fb1013dx) and getting random *VIDEO_SCHEDULER_INTERNAL_ERROR* blue screen, especially at times right after signing into Windows when the PC is not under any heavy load. BIOS is F.03. Ran plenty of Diagnostic tests in UEFI mode resulted with no error. Is there anyone having same BSOD error here?
I don't think so. Not unless you really wanna tear it up. Then technically you can upgrade any laptop if your willing to sacrifice and skilled enough. At least the memory and storage is easily upgradable.
Does it have an extra slot for SSD expansion or you have to replace the used one? And how is the screen wobbling issue compared to the previous models?
Hello, can i ask which one should i get, this or msi bravo15 model b7ed, the prices are smilar, but msi has more powerful vga which consume more watt and leads to battery consuming, i like this design more but idk
I have this laptop with exact specs but I only get 7.5k on multi core while charge and 5.5k if not charge in cinebench. It scores 4.3k on multi core and 1.2k in single core. It runs quite unstable on fortnite and I only got 40-50 fps in high settings couldn't go any further. I bought it few weeks ago and it is brand new. Do you know why?
Try to search for how to benefit from the laptop. Know that there are settings that allow you to run games at maximum power, for example RTX. You must download it from its official website to benefit from it 100%.
Thank you for this review, I have a question, between this model (at 530$ price) and Lenovo LOQ i5 13420 16GB RAM RTX 2050 4GB (600$) which one is better? Build quality and display are important for me, LOQ has the better CPU but I've heard it has the heating and battery draining issues + frame drop in charge.
I got the same model (15-fb1013dx) from BestBuy for 485$ including tax. Unfortunately I noticed one dark dead pixel close to bottom-right corner of the screen visible on white/light background colors. The problem is, the Windows 11 stutters so much since the first start after reaching into desktop. *Do you have same problem?* Mine was shipped with *F.03 BIOS* and I suspect that BIOS (and older versions) might be affected from AMD's fTPM problem which is widely known to cause system-wide stutters. Hope someone reaches me out in the comments if you have *F.03* BIOS version with the same laptop model. Thanks!
@@onurguzel16I got the same laptop as u from Best Buy Portland too and yes it came with F.03 bios, the stutters weren't that much affecting although definitely noticable but they didn't presume later, but after using it for an hour or two I updated the bios to F.04 and since then the laptop has been pretty decent.
@@manameisjeff2719Hi friend, thanks for your comment, I found some more issues on this laptop (purchased from BestBuy too as said), can you give your mail address if we can make some talk about it as being supportive each other?
@@manameisjeff2719Hi, I don't know why RU-vid is auto-deleting my comment, may I ask if you have any contact channel (like mail or social media profile) to discuss the issues of this laptop which I bought with same Bios version, friend. Thanks.
I feel the same, but they don't care about shameness as they must be thinking this model should not be storage-upgradable at this price level. Yep, there is plenty of room on mobo either for 2nd M.2 slot (next to main slot) and for SATA next to battery but no port is there.
Si, pero tienes que esperar que termine la garantía porque muchas marcas hacen que si abres la PC antes de que termine dicha garantía, ya no te la hacen válida.
Can this laptop help me edit videos in programs like Adobe Premiere or Filmora? Can programs such as Photoshop, Revit, Autocad and music-making programs also run without problems?
@@deepanshudubey5223 11400H has better performance in single core tests, but in multi-core 7535hs is 5-10% better. It all comes to what you use your CPU for.
Strange how pro-product reviews say "hardly any fan sound under stress test" where others say that the fans are very noisy and feel like about to take off during gaming. 🤣 Also you don't compare it vs "counterparts" you use much inferior CPUs. The counterpart would be i5-12450H which beats this CPU (but by very little).
