HP Z230 massive UPGRADE. Not a HP anymore!

In this video I have upgraded a HP Z230 workstation. Basically I replaced everything apart from the case and that is because I like how this workstation looks like.
System config:
Intel i7 4790K 4.0GHz relid with liquid metal
MSI Z97 Gaming 7 motherboard
MSI Nvidia Geeforce GTX 1070 8Gb
32Gb RAM
GAMEMAX 750W power supply
HYPER 212X CPU cooler
500Gb SATA SSD, 500Gb HDD and 3Tb HDD
In the end I cannot put the side cover back because of the size of the CPU cooler. LOL. Need to think about something....maybe more mods?

OK, I have the same Z230 with i7-4790 CPU, 32 GB RAM, Quadro P4000 8 GB GPU (which is almost identical to GTX 1070), 2 SSDs, HDD and a DeckLink Studio 2 card. Everything runs fine with stock cooling and stock PSU. Just wonder why did u replace motherboard and PSU? What problem did u try to solve? The only one I can imaging is overclocking a CPU, but come on, it's 10 y.o. computer and it would be 10 times easier just to replace it with something newer, for example Z440 are pretty inexpensive.

Just exactly this type of video I was looking for. Very cool and great job! Did you find a solution to the side panel, or did you just switch the cpu cooler? :)

Thats pretty cool m8, instead of going with a regular SSD I bought an Nvme adapter for PCI to run it with m.2 plus one of those MLLSE chinesse GPUs, I got a question fren I was wondering in if I should replace my i7 4790 for the 4790k, but I was worried since its HP it wouldnt accept the 4790k, did you had to mess with the BIOS to install it or did the 4790k was just plug and play?

On the z230 motherboard it's plug n play. As you can see, i replaced the hp mb with a msi mb. Hp mb will not boot from a pci nvme adapter.

@@raresp7218 first off thanks! I'll get the 4790k then, secondly mmm thats interesting its not the standard NVME it's really late but it's a SA510 the one I run, with the 3 pins you know? it boots with no issues, regardless you put a lot of effort into your build, and it looks amazing congrats!

@@raresp7218 incorrect. You can use Z Turbo Drive and it can act as a boot device. But u have to use HP branded M.2 drives. Google for it.
