Brings back find memories. I worked on the production line at HP where that power supply was made. When the front panel was grey they were made in Berkeley Heights NJ. Later the color changed to mint green and they were made in Rockaway NJ. Thanks for the video.
I think the screw in the middle of the ammeter is making it stick.....probley has a jewel like a watch does...back off the screw a little..CCW I would melt the bracket a little with a soldering iron to hold it in...
Nice, I have the dual 40V version of this supply. It's a bit old school but works great on my bench. Hopefully one day you can find a replacement display or donor unit and get rid of the eye patch.
elsjaako I thought about it, but I don't have any experience with or access to a 3D printer ATM. I imagine the hardest part would be actually modeling the part so it can be printed. Seemed easier to just make do for now and wait for a replacement to pop up. :)
How about a couple of LED displays and replace both meters (Yeah, I know, there's something about a nice analog readout but at least they'd "match")? 73 - Dino KL0S
+Dino Papas Actually I think I may have found a suitable replacement - not the exact same model number, but it has the same form factor and the meter movements seem to be the same. Follow up video in progress!
