Amazing! After all the fighting, running into objects, getting kicked, punched, choked, and thrown around.....Harry's glasses still manage to stay on his face.
same here~! i read it over and over again in 4th grade when i binged the harry potter series. molly didn't curse at all throughout the entire thing but curses to protect- It just... is so satisfying to see, I remember crying, knowing that molly had lost one of the twins earlier, and wouldn't lose her one and only daughter as well.
In my opinion, Neville and Harry together should've killed Bellatrix, by torturing her with crucio, like she did on Neville's parents, then finally killing her with avada kedavra, which she did with Sirius
The thing about Neville is he could have been the Chosen One, can't remember the exact words but the prophecy spoke of a boy born at the end of july whose parents had defied Voldemort twice.
They should've used bellatrix's line in the book: "what will happen to your children when i've killed you? - when mommy is gone the same way as freddie?"
yea its wrong and after the fight voldmort's body should be in some hall and students go and hug harry and harry use the invisiable cloark and go talk to dumbledore painting
The way Daniel's (Harry's) eyes lit up realizing the snake was killed, you could almost jump and say "Nooooww!!!" Such a powerful scene, amazing acting from both!
Agreed, I much preferred it in the book where everybody was in the Great Hall and Voldemort was having to hold off Slughorn, Minerva and Kingsley all at once - then Harry shows himself and they battle in front of everyone after Harry offers Voldemort one last chance to put his soul back together through feeling remorse. It was a lot more powerful as a scene, especially since Voldemort's body didn't just disintegrate into thin air.
@@cristiangonzales2040 Ikr, it would be so shitty having voldy and harry have a frucking conversation instead of battling for the ass of wizarding world.
Yes. You're right. Dobby, Hedwig, Fred. Also Severus : yes I know he was not nice to Harry but played a huge role in keeping him alive throughout the years risking his own life and ensuring his defeat against Voldemort.
Something I just realized is that, Harry's whole fight with Voldemort was just him buying time for Ron and Hermione to kill Nagini since it was the last horcrux and the only way to really kill Voldemort. Harry held his own in a battle that rode on something he could only have hope for.
The look on Harry's face after seeing Voldemort turn to dust...The happiness...He killed his mom, dad and Harry finally took the revenge....Such a great scene!!!!!!
One of my favorite scenes of all time! I’ll never forget watching it in the movie theater at a younger age around 13-14 and my brother 20 at the time screamed his name out loud in pure joy and everyone laughed and cheered. One of my favorite memories
Its sad not to mentioned the most important detail in the book: Voldermort try to incinerate the sorting hat with Nevile, but he stand still and by doing that he get access to the sword from the hat to kill Nagini right next to Voldermort. Dumberdore mentioned in Chamber of secret only the true Griffindor can pull the sword out of the hat.
@@BabyShinobu. Well, it wasnt really about harry is more powerful then voldemort, voldemort didnt really died because of how harry's is so powerful, its because the scene that voldemort casted a killing spell on harry with the Elderwand, but the Elderwand refused and bounced the spell back because Harry is the true master of the Elderwand, and that spell who rebounded back to voldemort, causing him to die. Plus, their powers are equal, harry also wouldnt kill voldemort without his friends, or so what called, "Dumbledore's Army" (the DA) without their help on fighting the death eaters and Nevile slicing the horcux with the sword, harry wouldnt sucess, it isn't just about a single persons power, it's about team spirit. Together, they can make things more easier than one person going alone.
You're a noob. There is no way Harry was more powerful than Voldemort. Voldemort was wayyy more powerful and experienced. Harry won because of his mother's protective love, his true friendships and all the support he got from Dumbledore and Snape. @@BabyShinobu.
I think the way they had Voldemort physically beat up Harry for a couple scenes is clever. By that point Voldemort had tried pretty much every spell he knew on Harry, including AK multiple times, and the kid just would not die. By this point V was at the end of his rope, boiling with rage at Harry for NOT DYING, defying him, and being the one thing he could not conquer. It seems logical Voldemort's "human?" rage would kick in and he would just feel so inclined to beat the shit out of him.
For those wondering why Voldemort physically beat harry instead of just using magic was because he was blinded by rage by this point and wasn’t thinking
Also, he has tried Avada Kedavra on him so many times and it failed. The first he did it, the spell backfired and in most of the other times, Harry was able to defend against it due to some coincidence and through his own skill. The most recent and most successful attempt at killing Harry failed and the killing curse was supposed to kill him. Without the protection, Harry was supposed to be dead. At that point, magic has failed Voldemort so he probably thought he was better off just using his hands.
No decent wizard uses the spell bro. Because killing is violation of nature and will cause the their soul to spilt. And they will be banished from afterlife
@@onetrackmind3558 no bro Harry didn't kill Voldemort. when the Voldemort used the killing curse on harry the elderwand refused to kill his real master Harry. So the curse rebounded and killed Voldemort. This is the same thing happened when Harry was a baby.his own curse rebounded when his mother sacrificed for him. But he survived because of horcrux .now all horcrux destroyed so he died
Can we appreciate that Voldemort, as a 70 year old man, was easily able to overpower physically? Harry trully is the boy who should visit the gym for once instead of just flying on a broom for physical excercise.
For being a film adaptation of a book, Harry Potter does do a great job at it. As much detail as there were in the books, it is impossible to include every single detail in a 2 hour and 10 min film. People seem to forget that movies based on a book, historical event, or sometype of comic will never ever be 100% exactly the same.
Tom Riddle had several chances to kill Harry in their final fight, but his sadism prevented it; he could have strangled with his robe, but he wanted to beat him first; he could have killed him with his wand, but he wanted him to suffer first; so in the end, his hatred and sadistic nature gave Harry another chance to beat him.
A lot of shit was happening in that year cause I remember I was there seeing all just like you and I was wondering if Harry Potter and the avengers ever met up at a PTSD therapy group and just began talking about that?😮
A lot of people were unsatisfied with the final battle, which I understand why. It really isn't as epic as expected and I think J.K. Rowling wanted it that way. I believe she wanted to show you how weak Voldemort was after all of his protection was taken away. After all, Voldemort's greatest fear was death. In the end, it shows that he is just another human being with weaknesses. It's an epic ending to a long and cold battle between good and evil more than an epic battle in its self.
@@kumomeme7852 Except that he had poured a lot of himself (and therefore a lot of his power) into the horcruxes - the last of which was destroyed when Nagini met Neville and the Sword of Godric Gryffindor. As each horcrux was vanquished, his power faded.
@@kegginstructure It is wrong to say that as the horcruxes were destroyed, he lost his power. What is certain is that as they were being destroyed, part of his soul and the more mortal he remained. Horcruxes fragmented his soul, not his powers. Just remember the brute force of magic in which he single-handedly destroyed the magical protection made by dozens of skilled wizards. And this at a time when several of their horcruxes were already destroyed. Voldemort was killed by several factors. One is the elder wand that did not belong to him and that despite being one of the most intelligent wizards in the world, he sinned by not studying more about the riddles of death, that is, the elder wand. Another would be the most powerful protection magic that exists: the protection of love made by the sacrifice of Harry's mother who still continued to protect Harry. Voldemort despised knowing these types of magic. For him, the most powerful and superior magic of all was dark magic. Another fact was also the sharing of the same core of Harry and Potter's wand that saved the boy several times. There's also the fact that he didn't kill his only Hogwarts professor in which he once shared the idea of horcruxes. Voldemort was careless several times
0:38 I also love about this scene how the family just stood behind her as backup but didn't do anything since they wanted Mama Bear to destroy this bitch. It's so cool!
The peaceful moment, when Voldemort died. 8 years, it’s been. The peaceful music as he leaves. The peacefulness, joined them. It’s over, 8 years of fighting, it’s finally over.
when they 'fly' together, it's a really pretty view of the castle and its surroundings:) i remember admiring that in the theatre when everybody else was so in the fight...
The only thing I was unsatisfied with was the fact that no one got to Witness voldemort's defeat other than Harry.. It would of been better if everyone saw him win
Na I preferred this... No need for theatrics & a audience... it felt more personal this way.... this was a personal fight that Harry had to finish ALONE
i think having run after each other all throughout the school whilst launching spells everywhere is far more epic than them standing around and lecturing each other like in the book
"...and this Tom, are the technicalities of wand ownership. And I want you to think about it in your dying moment.. This is how I defeated you, not through skill, not through ingenuity or wit that would make me your equal in a battle for life and death, but through a mere technicality" and then Harry moved on with his life to become a government law enforcement agent, determined to bust his foes through the power of legal technicalities.
I read the books, I watched the movies, over and over again. What I don't understand is why people are upset with the final duel. We've literally got 100s of people dueling in the background. Voldermort doesn't have a boss health bar. You can't just keep hitting him and hope it weakens him. I for one think they nailed the final fight, the battle began when Harry and the gang started hunting horcruxes. 3 whole movies of trying to defeat Voldermort all boiled down into a few moments. And something about Voldermort flaking away as the sun comes out over the top of the castle. And of course the beautiful score that accompanies it. Yeah nah, I reckon they nailed it. I couldn't imagine it being done any differently.
I love the battle in the book to death, but I think I like how the movie did it better. I just love that it's not only a stare down in the great hall, and then their wands connect, and Voldemort dies. I think it's awesome that only the two of them fight alone, and that their battle goes all around the castle, and they beat the shit out of each other before the final connection.
The thing that always bugged me about the ending of this movie was that Voldemort was supposed to die as a man. That he was human, even under all that evil and the power of the Horcruxes. That was why it was important in the books that his body was still there - because he was just a man. A horrifically evil man, but still just a man.
I'm kind of in-between about that. I loved the battle in the movie because I love the HP special effects and such, but I also love the battle in the book because of all the detail that allows you to build the scenes in your head. As for Voldemort, I like his death in the movie, too :3
One of my very few criticisms is that they only have the one scene with Harry calling him Tom, that was my favorite part of the Book battle cause Harry was finally getting to talk some SHIT to Voldemort and the psychological damage from that definitely helped him win cause we all know how SENSITIVE ole Tom was, I wanted like 3 more scenes with Harry talking his SHIT!
Harry finally killed the man who took everything away from him i can see lily and james sirius and remus looking from the sky feeling so proud of harry
I really love the actress who plays Bellatrix. She perfectly plays the villainous role she's given, and you can tell she had a blast. The behind-the-scenes documentaries show that everyone on set enjoyed being around her.
Agreed as well. The book had it much better. Especially since Voldemort and Bellatrix each had to fight 3 people at once. To me, they missed the bar on this part. Much more emotion and powerful in the book.
And also this film was so action packed and the edge of your set stuff it was so tense and possible the best film to come out in a long long time the best reviewed film of 2011 and 2012
The movie was so much better in my opinion. They did such a great adaptation. So much more epic and badass. Just legendary. It was suspenseful and bittersweet but satisfying too. 10/10 movie. The book was pretty good but the movies are masterpieces, all of them. They did a perfect job with all of them. I'm so grateful. Masterpiece. Amazing. Best movies. What an awesome final fight
I love the metaphor in the fact that Harry Never ever used the killing curse. He was fighting to protect, he never lost himself because he's not a murderer.
In a match to the death, there's no such thing as fair or foul. If you have to kill to protect so be it. Killing in the heat of battle, to protect all that you hold dear, doesn't make you a murderer. Plenty of heroes in multiple forms of media kill the villains but it doesn't change who they are.
Normally I would say something against this but yeah agree the book battle of hogwarts was miles better than the film version. Except Voldemort’s death since he just drops dead in the book
@@P3891 but that’s what makes it special though. He died a common human death, there’s nothing more human and common then dropping dead on the ground. And that’s what he despised, so it’s actually really humiliating for Voldemort to die like that. Perfect death in my opinion
actually in the book the final battle between harry and voldemort is too short after harry wakes up from his "death" neville eventually have the sword and kills nagini also a make harry kill voldemort too easy
1:04 Harry Potter: Did you, the Dark Lord just bitch slap me? Voldemort: Why does that matter? Harry Potter: Because Umbridge hits harder. Voldemort: 3:57
This ending had wayyy more suspense than all the other hp movies and the ending was.more epic and thrilling than the book. The book was straight out forward but too quick in voldys death, in this however it keeps u waited and nervous while other little things are resolved leading to the final battle...i personally think david yates did a beautiful job :)
I personally also hated that Harry ended up winning the final showdown through pure luck and just some technicalities about wand lore. Come on, its a story about wizard, shouldn't the protagonist at least win through wisdom, wit or ingenuity?
the book was better, that fight was so much mroe intense and harry showed his good side telling voldemort he could change and then instead of disintegrating him simply killed him
Since I read Half-Blood Prince, I've always felt a bit bad for Tom. I mean, he's a half-blood, hated that fact, was ashamed of his muggle father, and used his own hatred and anger to kill other innocent people and an infant baby, and then said baby grows up and destroys his soul, and he dies. If Tom had made different choices, he wouldn't have become Voldemort. If I had been Harry, I'd have been trying more to talk to him and make him see that it isn't too late to turn his life around.
