Reference the heat of the CPU and things maxing out, another tip that may be useful for others. In all my flight sims, I have always found it beneficial to LIMIT fps either by an ingame option or using the GPU software, in my case the Nvidia Control Panel (NVCP). I limit to 60fps, which is generally considered right at the point that they human brain / eyeball really can't tell the difference between 60fps and 8,000 fps. 60fps is mentioned in tons of forums. I utilize it for FS2020, IL-2 BOS, and DCS. Restricting the fps allows your GPU to "take a break", and not be maxed out all the time. Using an ingame app like MSI Afterburner (which is mentioned in this video) to monitor your GPU/CPU temps and usage, you can monitor and see where everything is at. I find that limiting to 60fps allows additional "headroom" and the GPU, which can then be used to "dial up" the eye candy, I like to make small changes, go back in, and check the GPU usage to slowly dial graphics up until I'm hitting about 90% GPU usage. This allows 10% headroom for times when you enter graphics heavy areas and things like that. From what I can tell, this also has the additional effect (at times) of easing the strain on the CPU. For me, at least, this solves both GPU and CPU bottle necking (with the caveat being that some games/sims just seem to bottle neck on the CPU no matter what you do, especially older games/sims that run single thread. Just a suggestion that might help others. Even if it doesn't assist with easing the CPU (including temps), it will usually allow the option of adding more eye candy, as the GPU is not maxing out trying to run additional fps that you don't really need.
Oddly for me this will be my first Helicopter purchase for MSFS. Have never really been a fan of helicopters in MSFS as at times in certain default seneries it all becomes immersion breaking when mountains, hills and grass look like melted treacle !! lol ! which of course can be the norm as its is all photogrammetry. Also city streets and buildings are very lo res. Yes, the nature of the beast in MSFS scenery, so to speak. However if you can add or purchase bespoke scenery areas then helicopters are immense fun to fly and you can obtain that visual immersion. For example I can highly recommend NZA Simulations, New Zealand scenery of the Milford Sound region. Very beautiful area in New Zealand and NZA have done an excellent job to increase the level of detail within the default scenery in New Zealand that betters the New Zealand World update XII for that region, that we all got. HPG have done an outstanding job. Both technically and visually. A must purchase for helicopter fans. Thank you Q8 for this review, much appreciated. I hope you enjoy this product. I just love the technicality of this HPG H160 and automation of this helicopter.
Yea mate the Milford Sound in New Zealand is highly recommended for helicopter 🚁 I’m from New Zealand and it as real as you will get in this day in age
I missed the stream (was at the hospital), I don't know if it was answered, but I think the difference is that you have removed the bar at the top, and now your screen is just plane as though it's a normal vid, not a stream.
