HPI Savage XL No More Testing

This was the final test run video. Running on 4S. We swapped out the Innovation-RC Big Bore Shocks and Mount. Went back to the stock setup. Installed a 17mm pinion. Thought it was a harden steel pinion but sadly it was not😆 We also swapped out the wheel and tires from the last run to the Team Corally Kronos XP Wheel and Tires. Is this truck ready for a real bash, stay tuned for the next video!

Even though its nothing like your electric, it makes me wanna dig out my old savage nitro, it's a really fun truck, just haven't drove it in about 5 years lol, love yours, it's like the perfect cart pulling rig. Thanks for showing it off as usual.

@Bee Sod That's one of the reasons I would not buy the new Savage X Flux. Something about a Savage X with a nitro engine, it just sounds right! My issue with the new nitro Savage X, just too pricey for Nitro. Should be in that $500-$550 range. Anything else is just robbery😆

@@ReadySetRC I'm totally with you on that! My savage is about at least 10 years old, but it's got a beefy 5.9 in it. I just looked at the price, and yeah, that's a bit over priced for sure!

Nitro hobbies nhx makes the Best hardened steel pinions for the price you can get like a 5 pack for 18 bucks. I haven't shredded one yet

@Jason Perrin R/C I'm going to pass on the X Flux. Something about this longer wheelbase I'm really enjoying. Plus if I was to get it has to be the nitro version but I think the price is a little steep for nitro.

@@ReadySetRC for me it is all about the price. The new Savage is way to expensive. HPI hasn’t been relevant in RC for a few years now. And to come out with a truck that is very close to the original at a premium price is a dumb move. Just my opinion.
