Aiden's HQ Kingswood is a bit of a sleeper (except for the cowl hood) and it's got a built 5.3 LS with a GTX55 turbo and it makes over 1000hp at the rear end. We can't wait to see this thing at Drag Challenge

a few very quick cars at the top of the drag challenge list, its all well and good to make big power, but getting it to hook is another thing.

Everytime you see a stout turbo LS pushing 1000hp, it just takes you that little bit closer to the dark side each time. 😉

That's wogs for ya bro. Years ago in the early 2000's when i was an apprentice going to Coburg TAFE- most of them would carry a shammy in the car and when they would park in the TAFE carpark they would walk all around the car wiping off any blemishes before going into class- even if it meant making them walk in 5 - 10min late! I had this gorgous 383, 4 speed LJ 4 door that i bought with show quality paint n panel and didn't really appriciate what i had at the time- it was always covered in dirt and they all reffered to it as the bogan car... 😅 I had a life, i could be bothered with the time it too to keep it prestine at the time. Man i miss that car now. Got stolen in Thomastown around 2004

@@markfinnigan4994 Exactly. Hope everything is good for him and the family. At the end of the day, what we do with the cars is secondary to family. I've had probably 3 days since I started the Crustida build that I haven't had some medical emergency in my family so far. 🤷 I haven't been as forthcoming about these issues as I would like to you guys because some of my family are very private people and don't feel it's the internet's right to know their lives, which is fair enough. 👍 Being a newbie to the RU-vid car community is also an adjustment to me personally as I'm learning how to cram running my channel into my life and I'm nowhere near as organized as I would like to be or thought I was. This is going to be a crazy 10 1/2mths, I'm already feeling the pressure of completing this build for RockyNats!! 😬

Very cool. So the 5.3 obviously sourced from the states for the build. Is it more capable over the 6l for boost witch we can get here in Australia?

The 5.3 is most likely an iron truck block from 'merica as opposed to the alloy block found in passenger cars. Iron blocks are better for high performance applications as they hold together better.

I think they are iron block so you get a good couple years beating out of the block (hopefully)

Yeah I figured that it was a reliability issue as to why. I just thought the money getting it over here could go into a 6l but might still have same outcome. Not sure.

@@TheCuttz1984 yeah at that level of power there would be alot of tourque from the 6L compared. It might be for rego so the coppers cant ping him, but with the iron block you can really turn the boost up so it might be a full blown drag car soon
