Oh..excellent ....Congratulations..I was fortunate to meet him on the sets of Aapki Kasam ( 1973).for the first time....then many times till April 1975....Very humble,Soft spoken and highly intelligent man...he use to talk about his previous films.to me.....he did talk to me about Aandhi which was made after I left Mumbai and Journalism... One is happy to note that Aapki Kasam was super hit...and during the making of the film Kaka married to Dimple ( March 1973) and Mumtaz too took the final decesion to tie the knot to Mayur Madhwani..a Gujarati Businessman from Africa...Kaka and Mumu both married to Gujarati....during making og AK....Both leading pair artists has thus blessings from Omji....God bless you too for your hard and simple but high value creative work....

Wow kitna acha bolte he ,nanaji,Urdu,javed Saheb ki yaad aa gayi,Hrithik u should carry his legacy,Tabassum ji u are a gem we won't know so many history if u would not bring it to light.

How educated and learned, such people were !!! They were reading a lot and were in touch with life. Thinking about a film like 'Aap Ki Kasam' in 1974 on the role of suspicion in a couple's life was outstanding. His war film 'Aakraman' was different.'Asha' was another film where he showed that a successful woman may lead a lonely life. Similarly,in 'Akhir Kyun' he tried to establish dignity and independence of a woman abandoned by his husband. And yes, songs of his films were not only superhits,but extremely meaningful like 'zindegi ke safar me guzar jaate hain jo muqaam' and 'dushman naa kare dost ne yeh kaam kiya hai' and 'sheesha ho yaa dil ho toot jaata hai'.

I am a big fan of om ji. I have seen most of his films and loved them. When Aap ki kasam was released i was a school going boy. I could not see the that film then, when it was released but i have seen it on its re released when i was young. I just loved the film i am still searching his films on u tube and i found "Aaye din bahar ke" Aan milo sajna," Apnapan" all the films are precious gems and songs are excellent in his films. "Aye kaash kisi deewane ko hum se bhi mohabbat ho jaye" "saathiya nahi jaana ke jee na lage" "mere dushman tu meri dosti ko tarse" what a beautiful songs. I live in America for the past 51 years(worked in the USA Army) and am watching you Abhi to mai Jawas hu almost all the nights. I am curious to know about your love for well dressings. (1) how many SAREES you have worn so far? I have never seen you wearing the same saree twice. (2) how about matching necklaces? (3) how about matching Bangels? (4) how about matching Earings? A nice interview of a wonderful and great personality. At this age of 58, I would like to regret my childhood ignorance of 1970 where I got angry and irritated seeing late Om ji's earlier bogus story oriented movies like ' Aaya sawan...' Aaye din...'' 'Aakho Aakho me'. I used to compare all these with Hrishikesh Mukherjee's realistic movies. But after seeing Omji APNAPAN(1977), I highly impressed. Onwards, he made his finest 'Aasha', 'Arpan', Aakhir Kyo' ' Aadmi Khilona hai' etc. I wanted to meet Om Prakash ji in Mumbai 2019 but one of film reporter Mr. Diwakar informed me that due to old age various disease, Om ji lost his memory and he is not recognising any one residing with Hritik. Thus, my wish to meet Omji not fulfilled.We never forget this humble film maker for his women-ere movie like ' Aakhir Kyu'. May God offer peace his soul.

Legendary Rajendra Kumar was also a very good friend of Most respected Legendary Legendary J Omprakashji, because both of them hailed from that part of Punjab which is now in Pakistan.

At this hour at 08:57 P.M. on 25th Nov, 2019, I just came to know that J. Om Prakash belongs to our city Sialkot. God bless his sould and rest in peace........... Aameen. Here in Sialkot there are specific Mohallah's ans streets which soleley belongs to Hindu community before partition. For example. Sara-e-Bhabhrian. It is still called with this name, streets have old buildings where Hindus names are imprinted and old doors and windows and constructions of those houses tells the history of un-devided India.

Legendary Rajendra Kumar acted in two films of Most respected J Omprakashji ,one was Aas Ka Panchi newly released in February 1961 which became a Silver Jubilee Hit at the box office and another film Aaye Milan Ki Bela newly released on 12th June 1964 at Liberty Cinema Hall Bombay which became a Silver Jubilee Hit at the box office making Legendary Rajendra Kumar a consistent Jubilee Star which lasted till 31st December 1966.
